  1. Superb work. I like the finish of Poly as it makes any wood shine and glow. Yves
  2. Nice progress and beautiful boat. Seeing what you are doing is an incentive for me to go back to my model. However, I am busy right now restoring a few pinball machines and the boat kit will have to wait a few more months. I will enjoy your BLOG in the meantime. Yves
  3. Fantastic work Dan. I just cannot wait to see both titans (Bismarck and Hood) next to each other. What a beautiful display that will be. Yves
  4. This is going to be a massive model again, Anthony. You will be able to place a Ken and Barbie dolls in it. Yves
  5. What incredible work to turn a plastic kit into a superb wooden model. Very creative, but I wonder if it would have not been easier to start building the entire ship of wood.... Yves
  6. So, at the risk of going down in flames, I am going to ask the question that everybody is thinking loud without daring ask: How will this new project impact the production of ropes and blocks, which have in turn impacted the Pegasus Cross Section project? Of course, the Pegasus is the project I am concerned about..... Chuck, I really care about your health and success and I am concerned that you are spreading yourself too thin, sometimes. Yves
  7. Very impressive. Just put a motor, a RC set and you are good for the nearest lake. This work is amazing. Now, you need to get the equipment to do photo-etching on brass, and you are all set. Yves
  8. You should start sanding the front of the hull..... just to remove the boredom.... :-) Yves
  9. Very interesting model. Will you be placing some figures to represent the driver and a passenger? You sure went to great extents to build this jig. It seems like it is almost more work than the model itself. Yves
  10. Chuck, It has been pretty much a month since we got the last update on this exciting kit creation. Would you have any new development to share with us? Thanks in advance. Yves
  11. Dan, Your work is superb. I cannot wait to see Bismarck and Hood next to each other. Yves
  12. Beautiful work of a very controversial ship, that you are doing. I like how you are linking the various modules together, with machine screws. Do you think a kit would be in the order of possible? Would you mind to honestly post the approximate cost of such method of building, tooling left aside? Yves
  13. I really like the brass used for the sides of the superstructures. Once nicely painted, it will give a museum quality appearance to the model. Yves
  14. https://modelshipworld.com/uploads/monthly_2018_05/IMG_2764.thumb.JPG.e8170171138366d1a5c3f0c403154472.JPG May I come pick up the trash today....? Yves
  15. Chuck, Any new unfolding in the development of this dearly awaited kit? Yves
  16. You are going to start your own plastic printed company, if it goes on..... Congratulations. Yves
  17. Very interesting project. I was just at the Naval Academy Museum in Annapolis this past weekend and they have a beautiful model of the USS Maine. Yours may be even bigger, as most modern models do not have the scale clearly specified, in that museum. Yves
  18. Chuck, After this weekend (where I understand you will have a crowd of "guinea pigs" to test the assembly of the frames for the upcoming kit), can we expect some updates with pictures? I thank you in advance. Yves
  19. Oh my God....you are putting a Big Block V8 into that Traction Avant Citroen and turning it into a Hot Rod.... My brother who owns two of these cars (an 11CV and a 15CV) would be offended... Yves
  20. Great stuff. The instructions are going to be terrific too.... Very detailed. Yves
  21. Ciao Jack, I miss your updates on that lovely boat. I hope you are doing alright and will be back soon. Yves
  22. Dan, Are you going to re-spray the hull, to harmonize the colors? Yves
