Fantastic work Dan. I just cannot wait to see both titans (Bismarck and Hood) next to each other. What a beautiful display that will be. Yves

This is going to be a massive model again, Anthony. You will be able to place a Ken and Barbie dolls in it. Yves -
What incredible work to turn a plastic kit into a superb wooden model. Very creative, but I wonder if it would have not been easier to start building the entire ship of wood.... Yves

So, at the risk of going down in flames, I am going to ask the question that everybody is thinking loud without daring ask: How will this new project impact the production of ropes and blocks, which have in turn impacted the Pegasus Cross Section project? Of course, the Pegasus is the project I am concerned about..... Chuck, I really care about your health and success and I am concerned that you are spreading yourself too thin, sometimes. Yves

Very impressive. Just put a motor, a RC set and you are good for the nearest lake. This work is amazing. Now, you need to get the equipment to do photo-etching on brass, and you are all set. Yves

Beautiful work of a very controversial ship, that you are doing. I like how you are linking the various modules together, with machine screws. Do you think a kit would be in the order of possible? Would you mind to honestly post the approximate cost of such method of building, tooling left aside? Yves

Chuck, After this weekend (where I understand you will have a crowd of "guinea pigs" to test the assembly of the frames for the upcoming kit), can we expect some updates with pictures? I thank you in advance. Yves

Oh my God....you are putting a Big Block V8 into that Traction Avant Citroen and turning it into a Hot Rod.... My brother who owns two of these cars (an 11CV and a 15CV) would be offended... Yves

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
