  1. Thanks for the short version Sam I'm always everywhere late…. But better a little late then not coming at all ! I'll be watching.
  2. Hi Larry, Good to see you back in the workshop ! Thanks for the tutorial, that one goes also in the book….
  3. Hi Sam, Can you send me next time a warning that you post a whole story and that i need translation for all of this? I want to build some day the Essex ( not now ) so I will be following you and Bob closely. I wish you good luck.
  4. Andy, Thank you very much !!!!!!!!! It keeps me satisfied till december when you can make new pictures Wonderful pictures of a wonderful build ! And when you are writing that manual , send me a copy please….. Have a safe trip and I will follow you again on that other topic. Have calm seas and watch out for all the danger that is around you !
  5. You can do that Rich ! I know you can !!!!!!!
  6. @ Patrick, I know that every plan has his difficulties but this is really bad. From the start of the build till now it's a jigsaw. You get a piece and have to see where it goes or not. You give me to much credits. I want to do it better but that is not always possible. When you look at the build closely, you see a lot of mistakes. I can hide it but I know it. I was talking with Mobbsie yesterday about it and I say to him... I can take pictures from a long distance ,then it looks good but don't come closer ! But thanks anyway ! I consider this ship as a learning ship. I learn every time new things..specially on the rigging. I can use that at the San Ildefonso and the Aggy. So each build goes better. And is that not the reason that we keep on building? You want to improve your self every time, do it better, cleaner and make it looks good. But not only from a distance, but also close by. @ Ferit, Thanks !!!!!! @ Popeye, I shall listen to your advice and wait a little longer to fix it
  7. Hi Adriaan, It start looking like a ship…... Do wat you want with the doors. If you don't like it the way they told you to do, do it your own way ! You are more satisfied with it . Great progress !
  8. @ Ferit, I think that you see what i have done. And that was before Mobbsie was posting ! Thanks !!!!! @ Mobbsie, When 2 people separate saying the same thing ( or you two makes a agreement ) that I have to trimmed the treads, who am I then not doing it ? But you and Anja are right, it looks much better ! And do you see that spiderweb over there? Popeye is inside with his popcorn @ Augie, You put the finger on the right spot ! I just have make the shrouds….now the lanyards and then…..ratlines again @ Aldo, Practicing makes power When i look at the first ratlines that I have make and the last one, there is a big difference ! But I just let it this way. To do everything again, is to much….. @ patrick, Yes, when I finished those I go to the yards/spars. First i have to make them….. Now comes a funny part…they give me the length of the yards but not how much it must be at the end…. So I think I get the manual from the SI and see what they are saying over there. Just love Corel plans !!! ( nope ) @ Mick, That's a mouth full…... So let me see, No, No, Yes, Yes @ Popeye, She is standing on the floor at the second floor corridor. There is nothing in the way. The rest of the stays I will do it when I place the yards/spars ... Then I can see where everything goes. Sharp eye that you see that the stays are not tight. I know that. When I'm a little further, I tie them up again ( for the third time ) The plans are showing me something but not clear. So i have to look at other Mirage builds that I found on the internet. Now I have blue fingertips and thank you all for looking in and the nice words
  9. A few more ratlines done. Middle section starboard side also complete. Now I can go to the top. 2 more shrouds and ratlines to go….
  10. Hi Theo, Congrats with the new toy. I want to buy that standard for the drill….. I have all ready the cross table (KT 70) Looks perfect ( the build )
  11. Just take your time Rich ! One plank at the time and if it fits, then glue it !

  19. Hello to all of you, @ Piet, Thanks You can call it mouses if you like….. I don't expect something different from a old Dutchman @ John, Nice to read you have a wonderful time with Dave and his Admiral. That internet brings us all together ! @ Popeye, I don't know from who it is coming that yelling about pictures….not me ! I'm first finish the Le Mirage before I go to the San Ildefonso. I'm missing a few parts from that build and they should sending to me. So when the Mirage is finished, I can also make a start with the Aggy…..
  20. John, That camper of yours, can she cross oceans??????? If she does, Netherlands next stop
  21. Hi Ferit, That mouse is not bad at all !
  22. Thanks Adam and Frank, I love pics to Adam. How more, how better @ Frank, If I try to cross the sea for going to Mobbsie with that, I go straight to the bottom She is big , but to hold two adults? That's to much I believe…...
  23. @ Mick, @ Sam, Thanks. @ John, What else can I do with all the time that I have at the moment. I'm working only 4 hours a day ( last week and then to the 75 % ,6 hours ) for two weeks . And going into the city because there is a festival ? no thanks…to many people !!!!! We have a spare bedroom that we are using. Still a lot of space left. Maybe next year we will renovated the whole room into a decent workshop. Now we have to tables where we are working on. @ Adeline, I'm still not a master of the ratlines…. I have to learn not to tight them to hard…. It can be some looser ( those ropes ) And yes , you read it well, at the main mast and mizzen mast there is another part with ratlines….. And no worries about the hight of the seiling. The room is almost 3 meters high... Plenty of space left !
