  1. Doris, You are saying that you are still learning. I think it's the other way around ! We are learning from you ! Just take a look at the cleats....they are better then what they provide in a kit !!!!! Your models would be the eye-catchers in a museum ! Just go on with the amazing builds of yours !
  2. Patrick, You have to see it this way.... Your ship has a extra ladder in the belly of the ship Strange that it is nothing coming back. You should think that when something falls down it has to be back at the serves. With your skills you can scratch a new one that is better ten the one who is somewhere in the ship...... I have all the faith in you !
  3. Before you think that I have doing nothing.....wrong ! A small update on the first planking. It need a little touch up but that's for when the first planking is all done. I go now to the middle to see how it goes to the stern. There is a strange angle so I have to see how that goes. And I have to reduce the sternpost from 5 mm to 1 mm..... Otherwise problems with the coppering . But, enough talk ,time for pictures.
  4. It looks great. I'm always using a brush but when I see this I maybe try spray. See how it goes.
  5. Patrick, I save a place for you at the Gallery ! A few more things and then finished ! Great feeling should that be ! And you can be proud of her !
  6. That's enough ! Tomorrow I'm gonna call the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam that there is a model that they really need for there collection !
  7. Hi Gil, As usual great job ! One question... How do you know that you not forgot something ? I mean a rope that goes from somewhere to somewhere.....? For myself I use a marker on the drawing witch rope I have done. Maybe you have another way to doing it ?
  8. That's one smooth hull David ! Very nice job you have done. And now to the fiddly stuff ?
  9. Pictures are always welcome Nice one with "don't give up the ship " Maybe there is another one with not abandon the build ?
  10. Wow Patrick, That looks amazing beautiful ! Well done with the glazing. I have to remember that......
  11. I can only agree with the others. Very nice !!!!! A few more and your finished
  12. Patrick, Congratulations on finishing the rigging ! I know how it feels when you have done that . Great job, well done !!!!!!
  13. Thanks Ben and Patrick, It goes slow at the moment. 1 plank at the time...maybe 2 each day ! And that only for the weekend, tomorrow at work again .
  14. Now i know it for sure..... I have to play with lego or something like that Are you and Doris sisters Sherry ? I'm a novice !
  15. Thank Draggz and Grant, @ Grant, It looks if it is going fast but.....a lot of planking ! After that sanding and filling and sanding and filling. By the time I finished that Mobbsie his Aggy is ready to sail ! @ Sam. I wish my clock had a time of 48 hours..... Then i can do more ! I'm using nails to hold the plank on to the hull. And because I have placed the inner bulwarks there is enough strength on the frames. Just as solid as a rock !
  16. Can i have 52 of those Bob ? They are looking great ! I think they belongs to the Aggy
  17. Hi Bala, Yes I mean diluted PVA..... When I'm writing a word the wrong way my auto-correction put down an other word. And I have not take a look what he was doing. So the computer is saying Deleted PVA and you know ?????? The computer says NO !!!!!!!
  18. Hi Bala, I thought I bring you a visit. You've got the help from a lot of great builders so I'm just sitting here and will follow you. Ok a tip then. When you are making the gratings, when you have putting them together and you like what you have done, lay them in a bath of deleted PVA ! Then you know for sure that they are not falling into parts again. The same with the stairs. When I'm building the Corsair from OcCre i didn't do it and I have to re-do it several times..... The final result of the grating looks fantastic ! Keep on going like this and you should be proud of what you have done.
