  9. 1213brett mate, I can even get a twist in the wood very easy like this. I only use hot tap water if the piece is to thick 5 to 7 mins in the water.
  10. Hey howya goin 1213brett mate, wand are a magician I like magic, I dont even wet my timber takes to long that way I use this see pic, just hold the timber on the soldering iron and slowly move it and it bends into shape if you bend it to far you just turn it over and heat the other side. Some people wet the timder pin it in place and leave it till it drys. and like mark here who uses curling iron to do hes hair and planks, I also use a hair dryer with a piece of wood clamp with spring clamps on the bench as for your question if you do the outside first you run the risk of it bending outward as one side dry faster then the other as for pining it frist idk haven't tryed it that way, just get a piece to practice with if you have a spare piece.

  13. Hey Paul mate, no need to say sorry mate your just helping me out mate.
  14. Wrong ones Paul, same brand those ones are just alittle smaller then the full size ones still to big the ones I'm after are https://www.carbatec.com.au/clamping-vices-and-workholding/quick-release-clamps/micro-bar-clamp-and-spreader this is the only shop in Vic that I can find that has them. I dont have a car anymore so its going to take good few hours to get there and look at them, ones thing good about that shop is it's where I will be getting my scroll saw from so while there I can have a look at that to.
  15. hey howya goin Paul mate, thanks for the comment, yes this brand of clamp are crap but they are the only ones I can find that are 150mm long, there is another brand Irwin which are a better brand but there micro clamps only come in 100mm long, opening that is, I was thinking I might pick up one packet and hope that ther bar on them are the same thinknes as the crap one and swap the clamping parts from the Irwin ones to the crap ones hence getting longer better ones, only things is Bunnings no longer sells the miro ones so I will have to get a set from some where else.
  16. Hey howya goin Paul mate, great find mate. Looking at the yellow and the proper colour now I do like the proper colour better, before the yellow just looked to yellow to be the real colour for that time period. I was going to leave mine all natural wood, but now I might paint her, I'll have to think about this some more.
