  1. Surely a pair of pumps would be more practical? This silliness has to stop soon....
  2. Alignment looks great, even under magnification, Pat. Well done!
  3. Pre-planning is always worth the time spent on it. She is looking very nice indeed, Eric.
  4. Despite your not being happy with this model, it is very nice and cleanly done, Dan. Looking forward to your next model!
  5. What about simply referring to this as a Transitional rig?
  6. If you are relying on any glue holding wood in place without pre-bending it to shape first (except, perhaps CA), you will be disappointed. See the planking tutorials at the top of this section for more information.
  7. I agree with pear, although holly bends very well also.
  8. Whoops - a bark she is. A brig she was. Thank you for the correction. Frolick!
  9. Definitely a Victorian era brig.
  10. Keith needs a lacey-faire attitude, I think. Then he can tie up safely.
  11. Hopefully there are some nearby eyelets to swim over to.
  12. I suppose if she takes on water, she may heel over....
  13. Depending on their diameter, Keith, if there is a suitably sized Forstner style drill bit available, it will cut clean holes for you. Alternatively, drill a smaller diameter hole and carefully open it out using a broach.
  14. Amalio: isn't it easier to clean up PVA glue squeeze-out with a damp (or wet) brush before it dries? That's been my practice for years.
  15. Now you can ring 'full speed ahead!' Nicely done, Keith. It looks much better.
