Yep its brilliant for info, check sites like Ebay or direct for makes like Lion Roar, Pontos, White Ensign, there are quite a few companies who do detail sets.

Thanks! I have been looking at pictures of cannons this evening and they did all appear to be pushed right up tight. It’s good to have some confirmation to my research.
This is an interesting idea that I may play around with and see which I prefer. Thanks again!
No problem at all - glad to help if I can.🙂

I prepared one cannon and decided that one of my side tackles is a little longer than I want going forward (the visible tackle is the long one). Should the cannon trucks be right up against the bulwa rk? This isn't glued in yet.
Edit: Currently redoing the longer tackle, it bothered me too much already 😂I think they push them right against the bulkhead for maximum recoil so the cannon works at it best, if you wanted to show some life on her, you could also display a few recoiled back with tight ropes.
Spledid work you are doing everything looks the part.

Thought you might find this useful as it shows different mods to improve the kit - gonna be an epic build.

I have always been a B-17 guy but the B-24 was considered the faster of the two planes. In most other ways they were similar and the people who used them seemed to prefer them over the B-17 in most ways.
I have the Osprey in my collection as well Denis. I have always liked them in spite of their early reputation and problems. We have a few around here and one thing is certain, you know it when one flies over................. They are LOUD.
Start a build Lou - would love to see it.

"Wowzer" you have some nice stuff to keep us glued, the B24s always looked to heavy to fly to me, and the B25 - I am sure my dad used to speak about them when they were over this side of the wet stuff, and the Osprey - what an amazing Heliplane/Planecopter - I have seen a few at shows and even the one over the top of us.
Got my camping gear out ready for these.

Very very nice work - more of an architectural builder than a model maker.

You have done a fine job of her - remember its a very old kit and it takes talent to do what you did.

nice progress on the figures OC.......enamel flats are the same.........always seem to dry with a slight sheen. what I do is add enough thinner to deaden it. one drawback to it though, is it opens the door to ghosting. with the airbrush it's not to noticeable........but with a brush, it's terrible. not too sure about acrylics....I've not in the habit of using them. the figures look really good....your doing a stellar job with them hope your knee is better!
Thank you so much Denis - yep paint is a funny thing but I think I have it sussed now, the knee is still painful to touch (I go "ouch" when our dog jumps on my lap and puts her paws on my knee) but its ok to walk on.
