  1. I think it looks great! I’m also fond of the red up above, I think they go together well. All the models I’ve been studying have a darker blue frieze, or at least it appears that way in photos. Are you going to offer a 1/48 version?
  2. She’s looking really good Chuck. The framing turned out wonderful. When do you begin work on the decks?
  3. Lovely work! I love the white finish. I will do this with my Portland model as well.
  4. Beautiful work of art! Very well done. What an inspiration!
  5. Looking good Jim. Time to start making some dust and then toss some wood on the sides!
  6. Thank you Ben. The finished model will be just under 43". it's actually not unmanageable. if you look at it next to Winnie, its only about 5" longer, slightly beamier at 10 3/16" and obviously another deck taller, coming in at 12". I think they both look good next to each other, a 5th and 4th, maybe ill try a 3rd rate next lol
  7. As long as the windows line up with your frames then you should be good to go. Modify the holes as needed. I may have had to move mine slightly, can’t remember. Definitely worth spending some time on that whole area of the model though.
  8. Welcome back Jim, she’s lookin good. Did you place your stern window cut out against the frames and do a test fit?
  9. Stunning model Greg! And what a beautiful display to compliment it. For lighting I would look into fiber optics as a way to get your light up there without wires or any kind of conduit, from there I would research how to focus the light onto your model, surely something is available. You could probably route a couple clear pieces of fiber optic up the back side edges of your clear panels and it wouldn’t even be noticeable.
