I have another one with cotton canon balls in his hands…...

When you come in Holland many times, you know that we are not normal  :D

You like the rigging part…..

I know that the people from England are different…but that different I didn't know……. ;)

Hey Sjors

I'm with you, old school, no needle threader. Never heard of one other than me! LOL

I use the same method of CA drop on the tip of the rope or line since ships don't have ropes!  I then cut it on an angle to sharpen it and then presto!...oops missed...try again...presto! There like that! LOL

Hi Patrick,

I still have to do the fore mast shrouds and then…ratlines!

But one question for who read this….

I have no futtocks stave's but I want to place them.

Is that a wise decision or not?

Getting off Frank's feet :D and back to your question Sjors - yes, fitting Futtock Staves is a good idea. They will give you something solid to attach the Futtock Shrouds to, and will stop the tops of the shrouds from spreading :

Hi Aldo,

I think that Le Mirage don't like me anymore….

Everything what can goes wrong, goes wrong  :(

Deadeyes are falling out of the shrouds.

Lanyards are loosing them self.

So I think it is the best to let her rest for a while.

I'm happy that I have still the SI where I can work on.

I'm going to finish her ,but not at this moment.

It's ok to get away for a spell Sjors.  Things will look different when you get back to her.

Enjoy working on the SI for a bit.

Thanks Augie,

From the beginning she don't like me…..

She is now standing on a shelf where I can see her and give her bad names!

I make a few ships but nothing like this.

She will finished somewhere in the future!

Maybe when I'm 80 years old or something like that.

I was always wondering why builders let there build alone for so long….now I know why!

So let's go to the San Ildefonso.

Mobbsie…..I want the AGGY!!!!!!!! now……..

Well you cant have it, we have a bank holiday here and no shops are open. :D  :D

The best thing to do if it's all going pear shaped is to put it away for a while, your doing the right thing my friend. You can always throw cotton cannonballs at her, If Anja will lend you some. :D  :D

I still have my Bireme shoved in the loft, I'm trying to forget it but it calls out to me every now and again. My excuse is that I have my hands full at moment.

Take heart and all will come good. ;)  ;) ;)

Thanks guy's,

@ Mobbsie,

I ask Anja about the cotton balls and see hide them also…...

She is saying when I used a lot of them, something is gonna be damaged!

And because there are more builds in that room ,she don't want to break something from an build.

Frank,

We have talk about it on Skype.

I think that this is the best.

@ Andy,

You are right…..

I've never see a flying Dutchman but I almost see a flying Frenchman…..

I wise decision from me to store her for a while.

And then that "emphasis" , I 'm not building till thursday because we may go back at work tomorrow….

Yes, holidays are over  :(

Back to the normal routine…..

So please you keep posting those " emphasis" then I have to see something when I got home for work.

Sjors,

I agree... take a break.  Go work on the other ship.. drive a bus... just do something else.  You and Mirage will be better off doing that.  When you come back to Mirage, you'll fix what needs to be fixed and feel better for it.

now you see why I have other builds in the works........I know it sounds funny......yes,  I am excentric....but you'd never know from looking at me....hee....hee.   I have never rigged to this degree...a wood saling ship....done plenty of plastic in my day.  it will be nice to have planking to relieve some of the tension.

hopefully Sjors......you'll be doing wood work on the S.I.    it would be a pity to emmerse yourself in the same turmoil.  your doing some fine work there Sjors.....don't forget that.

don't be so glum...good work,  you've done some

on the ship you've put on the shelf

don't look at the time.....or this terrible rhyme

the right time is when,  you are happy again
