HMS Agamemnon by Sjors - FINISHED - Caldercraft/Jotika - 1:64

Recommended Posts

The chain and dummy gunport lids on the stern are on it.

Now I can start the rigging.... :D  :D

The first shrouds and lanyards are on the ship .

Also done the pendants on the mizzen.

It was a long time ago that I did shrouds so it takes time before it was right.

Re-do it 3 times before I was satisfied.

Now I can go to the main mast.....

Rigging looks great Sjors!  Something to maybe consider for the 'flyaway' pendants is to weigh them down and soak in diluted PVA which might make them hang a little more naturally.

Also, my mind was doing a "spot the difference" with post #893 - seems one of the knights has gone missing?? :o

Thanks all and also for the likes !

@ Jason,

I was looking at post #893 to see what you mean and you are right  :(  :(

I think that one knight is looking for a castle or a damsel  :D  :D  :D  :D

He is gone !

I think when we are moving he is falling of his place.

I will see if I can found him otherwise I will send Caldecraft an E-mail to see what they can do for me.

But you have sharp eyes !!!!!!

And thanks for the tip about the "flying" Pendants........

And then a question.....what is the purpose of those Pendants ??????????

Also for tensioning the shrouds - Lever has a very nice picture on page 24.  Basically the lanyard between the shroud deadeyes would be run through various tackles, but ultimately through a block attached to the pendants...

Cheers,

Jason

The shrouds and lanyards on the mainmast are also done !

Now I go the the for mast and then I will start on the stays....

It goes slow but it is going  :D  :D

I also have done one ratline on the mizzen mast.

Just to see if I still know how to do the clove hitch.

The box with the rigging Gnomes was standing in front of me and every Gnome was dancing and cheering and happy because they thought they can work further on it......

To bad for them.....they still have to wait !!!!!!!

typical Dutch expression = "Het komt voor de bakker!"

It's coming along , thanks to the baker, gnomes and fairies.

I don't need Google Translate but I don't have a clue what they are talking about, never heard of that expression.  Hmmmm, too many years away from that language I guess

Shrouds look very good Sjors and it looks like you haven't lost your touch with the ratlines.

Hi Hennie,

I still goes slow :D:D

Work is in the way again.

At the first page by questions you can take a look how to open a build log and how to put pictures in it. This is the link: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/topic/53-before-you-post-your-build-log-please-read-this-starting-and-naming-your-build-log/

And have no issue about the English langue.

They can read mine so ...... :P:P

How are you planning to do the mouses? (mice? :P)

The way they were actually done? Or the easy way?

The way I do it (the easy way) is tie a knot where the mouse goes and then just wrap it with thin black thread. A coat of flat black paint and it looks like a parceled (sp?) mouse. :)

Aaaah how I want to be in the rigging stage of my ship.  :(

There aren't but two options: do it FAST, or do it RIGHT.

Thank you very much for the comment and likes !

@ Ulises,

I take the easy way.....and I mean totally easy !!!!!!

My rope server has let me down a few day's ago.

So the mouse is only painted !

And from a distance you don't see it.....so please, look from a distance !!!!!!! :D  :D

I know ., it's not right but......I think I'm gonna keep it this way ( or not ? )

And don't wish to much my friend.

The Victory will be waiting for us  :D  :D

@ Bob,

Thanks.

I'll be waiting for your rigging.

Can you please hurry up ??? ;)

@ Hennie,

Also thanks and I will take a look at your build log when I have finished all this ChineesEnglish  :P  :P

Somebody else gives you an answer what about the pictures......

@ Elijah,

Also thank you !!!! :D  :D

@ Edwin,

Thank you,

Greetings back from my Moderator and say hello to your Admiral from both of us

@ Bill,

Are you using a magnifier ???????

I didn't see it and I'm sitting with my nose above it !

The deadeye turned around when I put the tension on the lanyard.

But I fix it  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

At the end of the post you will see a picture with the fix........

@ Moonbug,

Look at the beginning of this post  :D  :D  :D

@ George,

You have more faith in me then I have in myself.....

That first mouse take me almost 3 hours to do the job !
And then I mean also attach the stay from mizzen to main mast.
