I have to remind myself that this ship is a mere 10cm long ... Increadible work on those masts and sails, Igor. I see you still have the giant match.

Igor, there are many things that are wonderful in that series of photos!

My favorite is the precision with which you threaded and sewed those sails! And kept the fabric looking utterly pristine!!

I am building the "Atlantic" from the Bluejacket kit and found your blog while searching for others doing the same. Amazing! I certainly hope to follow your progress until the model is safely installed in the bottle.

What type of magnification & lighting do you use while working? A photo of that would be appreciated.

Most of the time I use the cloth, named percale, to make sails.

I am totally gob smacked with your model SIB.

I do not know you but looking at the incredible tiny details of this fully planked and decked ship I do know that I am witnessing world master class SIB modelling.

I have the old Jack Needham book which is good but compared to what you are doing it doesnt come near.

If you have not already, please write a book on it including this model.

Your build has taught me so much already.

Your are in another league.

Right down to the sails which are bang on the right colours and not just stuck on but with tiny mast rings toboot. The list is endless.

Absolutely totally awesome.

I have never seen anything like it.

My home library has several books by different authors about making ships in a bottle. But in these books there are usually only basics and simple examples. So don't limit yourself to books! Communicate with colleagues, fantasize, try to do things that seem impossible at first.

So, the next step - I set up a model on the slipway.

Then I flooded the "sea" and made a second boat.

Then the wiring diagram of the rigging inside the bottle was drawn up and the davits were slightly improved

Then I took off the mastes with the parts of the rigging and installed the davits with the boats
