That's right. We don't support HEIC filetype. 

You really need to use a common format such as JPG.

That's very, very odd. With the deck halves in place and fully seated into the slots, the deck edge falls directly on the centreline and both sit nicely up next to each other. 🤔

Don't forget to use those jigs extensively too when you make them. They'll help make sure the quarter, main and fore decks maintain their widths.

All designed to make sure you minimise risk of breakage.

I'm about a week or so off completing Sphinx, so thought I would post a few progress pics here showing shrouds and shroud cleats in place.

I really, really love ratlines. Did I ever tell you that? All 1270 of the lovely little knots.

Slowly is the way to work and you'll do just fine.

Fairing those parts 'off model' is only about removing a rough quantity of material so that it's easier when you have everything together. 

The quantities you see me removing in the manual were further faired in when the full was ready for overall fairing.

Sorry, no...I DO mean their Flat Red.

The two bottles I have aren't even close to the same colour, and the later one is really oily and bad to paint. Maybe they changed the formula or this is a bad production run.

Be careful of Vallejo Red. 

I have two bottles here of the same catalogue number, and they are very different. The older one paints dead easy and is quite vibrant. The newer one looks 'dirtier' and doesn't paint anywhere near as easily with a brush. 

A quick heads-up...

As the printers included an extra set of plans and manual (zero idea why!!), there is ONE more HMS Sphinx in the store.

Yes, it comes with masting and rigging.

As soon as it's fully rigged, yes...definitely. 

It's full steam ahead now so Chris can add that stuff to the Rev.2 instruction manual for next batch of kits. 
The rig stuff isn't really needed for the manual as that's usually all done via plans anyway, but it's nice to add some of it to the next updated manual.
