Hi all! Tonight's progress is below. I have the first four station lines to their approximate shape, on the starboard side. I will admit, there are a couple bumps, and possibly dents, but I will sand it all smooth, or fill. Anyway, here are a couple pics, the ones that show the best angles . Thanks for viewing! Comments and criticism are welcome! I will try to get some more work done tomorrow. Until next time!

I think it looks pretty good, but it's your choice. I'm not sure what is historically accurate though.

I have come up with a shaping system. Work bow to stern. I have nearly finished the very end of the bow on the starboard side. I came up with this cool set up for aligning my template. I will need to fill some over sanded areas when I'm done! Anyway, back to sanding! Until next time! Edit: Oops, square photos ?

I look forward to your netting! How is that stuff made? The netting that is. I've always been curious about that.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
