Remco, I found some information in: "The Arming and Fitting of English Ships of War 1600 - 1815" by Brian Lavery (see attached pdf) Hope that clarifies things a bit - I do love books arming_and_fitting.1600_1815.pdf

Looking rather realistic but for your 'icecream shop lighting' alongside the Warspite as you already mentioned. Though, it does give a nice impression what it will be like

I don't know what you think is small, to me these are some major updates on the deck. Beautifully executed!

Kees, Lucky you found out now and not when you would have been half way down the line ... Glad you got that new lineplan, which makes me excited to see your next update

You do rather well as an 'enlightened' cave dweller ... It has something cosy about it, nice workplace, which produces some very good results

Looking good. I like the strengthening of the hull with the vertical planks -
Piet, I'm very glad you're in the clear. (I presume you mean: 'only benign tissue' or 'no malign tissue') I do admire your strength of will, perseverance, and optimism (the waiting will not have been easy!) Take care with that flu (Gwen too)

Piet, You want to deprive us of some major 'learning by mistake' Heavy planks I presume, your injured thumb won't be a big help either. We'll just wait patiently on your pictures and progress. Take care

It looks strange to me ... something like pegs for coats and an upside-down chair at the end ... Still some fine craftmanship putting it all neatly together

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
