I bet the sailors not In a million years would imagine a ship like this.

I know how you feel with The moving. You are however doing a master job. I really liked the shading process on the turrets. Cheers.

Very interesting build. It's hard to imagine that it is card. Love the nice sharp lines of the coppering. Great job.

Exactly as the methods discussed. Keep adding sanding dust until you get the right consistency. It works a treat.

Nice I say. I do like the magnet. I think I'm still reusing nails from years ago!. Good work.

Thank you kindly jean Pierre, Don and zappto. After the Christmas rush I will be starting another build. In between all this im also moving into our brand new house we have just built over the holidays and I get a brand new model room!!!

That is one beautiful looking job. I think I had about 75mm of green strips left over. Your almost at the gunports hatch covers stage and it looks very well done. Just beware the covers for gun ports are two different sizes, they don't look it. Nice job.

Ok. The ship is finally completed!!!! From 28/12/15 to the 20/12/17 it is finished. Every rope and plank. Thank you to all that commented and followed the journey, you sure made it fun. I have photos here but I will take better ones soon for the completed gallery section. The admiral has instructed me to take a break for a bit. She thinks building is very stressful. Hehe. I find it the other way around. 😊

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
