Hi Doris, It was just a guess….. Everything that we ask to you ,you give us an tutorial with pictures. Because of that , that's why I thought you are a teacher. Your students are knowing that you build such beautiful things? They must be proud of you! Anja and myself , we are proud to know someone with such skills!- 883 replies

Hi Doris, I don't say this time how WOW this is. You know it your self But I have one question, are you perhaps a teacher? When I was at school ( 10 years ago ) my teacher was always drawing at the black board and I never get the same has he did. I think this is the same. You show us something and I know for sure that my builds are not that awesome as yours. So if you are a teacher and still giving lessons where can i sign in????- 883 replies

Hi Ben, With you I can have a serious conversation…... The longboat is almost finished……nice to hear that. And then you are moving to the dark side? I will follow you close on that also. With your skills you will bring that also to a great end. When I look at your long boat and Confed I have all the trust in you! And finishing the Mirage can take a while. I measured the main mast and it's gonna be a long one…. And then all those ratlines……. I think I rent a Monk for that If you don't know what I mean here is a little explanation for that. When you have repeated work , we are calling that Monnikenwerk ( Monk work ) Thanks for dropping inn and take a cup of coffee and a pastry with whipped cream.

Hi Adrieke, I see that you are back at your windows. It don't look bad at all. It's tiny so you have to use a tweezer and that works a little harder then you can make it by hand. When you are at number 10 it goes perfect I keep a close eye to you.

Just what I was saying…the Confed is a very nice build for you! So be a man and repeat me…….I'm gonna build the Confed! Be a brave guy and just do it!

Most of the time Anja is talking……….. Just kidding! We are playing a lot of music from the 60's. Country & Western, Rock ( Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbat) and guitar music from Gary Moore. My favourite are Alan jackson and Elvis and one number is for me the top. The Animals with The house of the rising sun! When that one is going on the volume button goes on 30…..or more…..

J0hn, I don't blame you that you can not find "Aggy" It's a short name for Agamemnon It's a kit from Caldercraft. When you typ on the internet Caldercraft Model Kit, you can find her. It's one from Nelsons Fleet. Picture of her below.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
