The French ship is captured by the English and the are change the rigging of the ship How about that ! @ Vivian, One flying Dutchman is enough...... Otherwise it's gonna be a flying Spanish thing...... I'll keep the windows closed Sjors

    Rich, What ever you want to do it's your decision.....if you do the rigging when the mast is on the ship or next to it. I'll do it when the mast is on the ship..... First the lower part of the mast till the fighting top, For the next ship, I'll be starting with the stays between the masts. Then you have space enough to play with the ropes. The shrouds has to be served for a part at the top. Be sure when you make the shroud that they are in one line with the chains where the lower deadeye is attach. Good luck with the rigging ! Sjors

    No Rich, I only make the yards complete before I put them on the mast. For the rest everything when the mast is in place. Sjors

    Thank you all very much And also for the likes Where I find the time.....that's a good one ! I have the late shift this week and when Anja is going to work, I have the whole house for myself. I can sit in the living room and watch outside to see how the rain falls..... Or I can sit upstairs, watch out the windows to see how the rain falls and do little things at the ships model...... I like the last option @ Rick, How are you buddy !!!!! Did you do some building lately ???????? Anja is saying hello to you Sjors

    The sails and the yards on the main mast are also in place... Still the fore mast to go and the bowsprit yards. And then all the rigging that goes with it. It keeps me still busy for the time being....... Sjors

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
