Marvelous work Patrick.  Love that stateroom and TV, without the remote ;)  But I'm sure it's on order.

Cheers,

I wouldn't mind spending some time in that room ;). Maybe the remote got lost in one of those chairs? I would check in between the cushions. Great job Patrick!

Nah.... I think you should past a print of Turner's Rain Wind and Steam over the TV and set up the room as a model room, well you could turn the bed into a Murphy bed for when company stays over.

Hi everyone and thanks for all of your comments and Likes!

Just a quick update.  The fit-out of Magellan's main deck's accommodation continues.  However, this time, I've jumped around again and started work on fitting out the main saloon.  Whilst it's still very early days, the galley now has some more cupboards added as well as a fridge.  Nothing's glued down yet, so it still looks pretty rough, but you've gotta start somewhere.

Sadly, I still haven't found the TV remote...

Cheers and Happy Easter, everyone!

Patrick

G'day Patrick

Brilliant job to say the lease! But when I gave you my order for this yacht, I ordered a double French door refrigerator from the galley!

Hi Greg, Nigel and everyone else for their Likes and comments.  I greatly appreciate them.

As for Majellan, well, I've done a little bit more on the internal fit-out of her Main Saloon.  In the following photos, you'll notice that I've added her main dining table, and the cabinetry that sits against the cabin walls (some of which are situated under the windows; others of which are in the corners of the saloon).  I've also made the main couches in the seating area (although they still require shaping and for the cushions to be added) and the drinks bar.

Still, lots of fun work to go.

Cheers and all the best!

Patrick

Best Regards,

Looks great Patrick. I continue to be amazed.

It's amazing the amount of detail you've managed to add to such a small area Patrick! Very nice!! :)

Hi George, Pete and Frank

Many thanks for your comments. I must admit that I'm really liking the way that she's turning out....and to think I almost gave up and abandoned the whole project at the start of the construction, because it looked too difficult. I guess it just shows what a bit of perseverance can do.

All the best!

Cheers

Absolutely fantastic.  You say it's approximately 7", have you ever figured out what scale that is?

Beautiful, Patrick.  And here I am thinking that some of what I'm trying to do is "too small".... yikes!

BTW, I found the remote but sneezed.   For all I know, it's floating around on the wind currents and headed to the east coast of the States. :D  :D  :D

Hehehe! Thanks Mike. I kept blaming myself for losing the remote, but now I find that you're responsible for casting it adrift. Oh well, maybe when Majellan's finished, we could set sail to your East Coast to find it. Now, that'd be fun! LOL.

Hi Elijah. Thanks! The galley's coming along rather nicely, too, although there's still lots of work to go. It certainly has its challenges, that's for sure.

Hi Bob. By my reckoning, she should be about 1:200 scale, but, knowing me, I could be wrong!

Cheers and all the best everyone!

G'day Patrick

Like everyone else, I'm at awe at what you have done in such a miniscule scale. Love it, love it, love it all.

On the first photo, I enlarge and after gazing at all of that pic, I click next then next and so on. At the last one I was so sad

G'day Patrick and Bob

I've been trying to work out this myself. The yacht is 37 metres long which is 93980 inches. The model is 7 inches long, therefore there's 13426 lengths of the model into the length of the yacht. So what is the scale?that is where I'm stuck!

good luck in working this out, but I think 1:200 far too big, it has to be smaller than that!

Fantastic work Patrick.  I learned quite a bit from your build and enjoyed all of it.  Someday I hope to be able to work at that scale.
