You are definitely off the deep end with the jet skis, do they stop when the rider falls off? nice work on the rest of the accouterments.

Looks great Patrick - just a little touch-up here and there.  What strength magnification do you use when working on it?

Hi Frank - I didn't use a magnifying lens for these jet skis, but I really wish I had!

Hey Patrick, The Jet Skis look great, beautifully done, do I need to pack a lunch or is the galley fully stocked?

Best Regards,

Pete

Hi Pete - Better bring your packed lunch, because the galley hasn't been built yet!  ;)

Looking just amazing...

Hi Steamschooner - Thanks!!

Great stuff Patrick....really fun to follow along with you and I knew you would do a great job on the jet skis!   :)

Cheers,

Nigel.

Thanks Nigel - greatly appreciated!

Denis has hit the nail on it's head with this statement!

You are too bloody fussy. The slightly messy paintwork only shows up in when you blow up the photo. At your scale no one will see it.

Havagooday mate.

Greg

Hi Greg - yep, sometimes I am a bit fussy, but I'll sand the paint back and try again...should be looking better once done.

Stunning, amazing - - - fantastic job Patrick.  Okay, a new 000 sable brush and you're in business.

I'm enjoying your successful work.

Cheers,

Hi Piet - thanks for the tip on the brush.  Guess what I'll be buying tomorrow???

You are definitely off the deep end with the jet skis, do they stop when the rider falls off? nice work on the rest of the accouterments.

Michael

Hi Michael - thanks.  I'm not exactly sure that they'll do that..It'd be fun trying to find out, though!

Bravo Patrick!

Thanks Igor!!!

HI everyone

Many thanks for your comments and Likes.  Greatly appreciated.

Here's my latest update:  I've managed to paint the starboard engine and other associated details in the engine room.  The jet skis and the ship's RIB tender have also received a second coat of paint with a new and better quality paint brush.  The difference is much better than before, I must say.

Also, at the stern of the ship, I've started on the port and starboard stairs which lead from the main deck down to the diving platform.  Still lots of cleaning up to do, of course.

Lastly, on the Sun Deck, I've put together the spa (which is the funny round thing) and a short series of steps for guests to use in order to climb from the deck into it.

Lots and lots of details, as well as filling, puttying and sanding to go, but it's fun and satisfying work, none the less.

All the best!

Cheers

Patrick

G'day Patrick

Bravo! The engine room and the inside docking area is marvellous.

What can I say about the spa on the top deck, except to ask you are you going to put bubbles in the water?

Does the white landing bay at the stern lowers below ses level, to allow the Runabout and jet skis to get out? Just curious mate!

Hi Elijah. Thanks for your comments and yep, I've designed each deck to be completely removable so that the interior can be viewed. I'd hate to have put all the work into the interior, without it being able to be enjoyed. Thanks once again.

Hi Greg

Many thanks! I can't promise about the bubbles, but I can always try....

With respect to the stern door, yep, you're right because it's designed to be lowered to water level, thereby enabling the jet skis and tender to be launched and recovered.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi Piet

No worries! I can assure you that there'll be more than a few cushions scattered around the ship, including the Sun Deck area. There will also be some large umbrellas on the aft of the Sun Deck; just to give a hint of what it'd be like to sit back and relax on a nice tropical cruise while the crew toil away to make the guests happy.

Cheers and all the best!

Hi Denis

Thanks! I'm really loving the way she's coming together as well, particularly as this is the first time I've ever built something like this, ie modern and multi decked. It's actually going to be sad to finish her...come to think if it, I may just have to build another modern luxury cruiser so that Majellan won't feel left out.

All the best!

Cheers

Hi Patrick

You sure are full of surprises, every time I check in I am always amazed at just how much detail that you can pack into such a little ship and make it all look so good,                                                                      ENJOY.

Regards   Lawrence

Thanks Lawrence! I must admit that I'm also quite surprised that so much detail can be fitted into these tiny hulls as well. I always think to myself, if masters like Phil Reed and Donald McNarry can do it, then I can at least try to emulate their skills and achievements. I may never be as good as them, but, what the heck, I can still have fun trying!

Thanks once again and all the best.

Cheers

Hi everyone

Hope you're all well.  Progress has been slow this week, but I thought I'd show where I'm at with Majellan.

The superstructure's painting and puttying continues, whilst I chase the glass smooth finish that I'm after.  I've also started work on the forepeak where the winches and other associated deck furniture will be stored.  The rear garage door and staircases haven't been touched since last week, so there's still lots of work to go before the stern is finished.

Please see the photos below.

Enjoy your weekends!

Cheers

Patrick
