Good grief Valeriy - such excellent modeling - you are in a class by yourself.  Love those boats (along with everything else on this model).  So inspirational!

I'd like to know how you make the cowl vents Valeriy? Were they cast?

Andy, the big deflectors are electroformed, which I have talked about before. Small deflectors are cast in bronze.

Valeriy

I just started looking through this build log.

Absolutely stunning work!   The metal working skills are amazing.

It must be satisfying to know people will be enjoying looking at these models decades from now.

Thanks Rookie!
I hope everything works out as you say. :)

Tables on the wall with the rotation speeds of the drill and milling cutter depending on the diameter and graphics for different metals, speak of a serious approach to the processing of materials! 👍

However, we are already sure of this. 🙂

Any material requires respect, and metal especially. ;) :)

I fully agree with the previous comments !

I have never heard of the Baranovsky landing-guns. This must be a Russian patent. Do you have more information ont them. Is it really a landing-gun, because the pedestal looks more like a ship's gun? Or is it to be dismounted and then mounted onto a landing-carriage?

This is a rapid-fire 63.5 mm gun designed by engineer Baranovsky. On the ship, it was installed on a special machine; during the landing, it was removed and placed on a wheeled collapsible gun carriage.

Wonderful Valeriy. What sort of paint do you use on your painted brainwork?
