Imho I think the airbrush has made the final flat coat even better being able to get a thinner even coverage than brushing . Starting to get a bit more populated now Forty KGL in the farm so far. I am working on my next batch of 5th KGL (Red coats) at the moment - mixing them breaks the boredom factor a bit. "Oh yes" Mark - planty of Frenchies going to be included in the areas surrounding the farm in front and to the Left of it, my build process at the moment is to get all the KGL figures finished first as they go inside the farm (it easier to put the farm on my table under my lamp - wont be that easy once its fixed to the base) then I will work on the scenery and other figures including all the French. Old Collingwood Posted October 2, 2021 Author Share #1529 Posted October 2, 2021 Evening all. a small update but minus any pics - sorry, so I started my normal route painting the faces - first a basic skin flesh colour, then a wash to bring out the details, then after this was dried a touched up the cheeks with a subtle pink colour, I was just about to do the highlight areas when normal life had to but in when our carbon monoxide detector started pipping at us, we didn't know what it was at first as we have other devices that make funny sounds when they want our attention. So I went into the kitchen and saw that it was making a slight flash and ping sound roughly every minute, I pressed the test button and the dial showed a very low reading of 0.50ppm but after doing some reading up - it could have been pippingh at me to re charge the batteries in it - so as we speak they are on charge. Life does have to get in the way with important things like modelling. Without an adequate warning, it can take your life before you ever know what hit you.
