hadn't commented yet but I was just re-re-looking over your log and I have to say I rather like the signature series brass cannon tips protruding from the ports against the black background of the wales. I really like that shade of blue also.

Excellence again :)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the comments and kind words guys, they really do act as a spur.

I have a bit more progress to show.

Since my last post I have attached the Poop deck and planked it, made and fitted the skylight, cavel cleats, mizzen bit, Poop deck railings and added the ringbolts and cleats.

A first for me is the hammock netting on the Poop deck railing, I'm quite pleased with the way it's come out but it played holy hell with my eyes, I only have another 6 long ones to make, hope I can do them justice.

I might need treatment after their made.

I have a few pics, need to satisfy you know who:-

Nicely done. I'm with you on the eye thing. I just about live with optivisors anymore. I went to bed the other night and they were still on, ugh.

oh well, doesn't seem to slow you down and hurt the quality of your artistry.

Wonderful additions, You'll soon be shaping masts. :dancetl6:

Hello Mobbsie,

The netting is looking great. animaatjes-smilies-60963.gif

You don't need any treatment when you're finished, only a little eye rest. And new glasses.

Good luck with the rest of the netting, may the become as beautiful as the first.

Not just fast, but very clean and precise.  That netting proves that.  Close eyes, put a cool damp cloth over them.  The sit back with your favorite beverage.  Works for me everytime.

Hi Guys,

Thank you all for looking in and the very kind comments and remarks you've made, very much appreciated.

I have made a little progress since my last post, I continued with the hammock nettings and have completed them which is what I'm going to post now.

I dedicate these pictures to my good friend Sjors ( you know how demanding he can be ), get well soon mate, rest up and take whatever Anja gives you.

Sorry about the quality.

So that's all there is for now, I'm currently working on the stern decorations, the manual calls for yellow ochre for everything, but you know me, I want some colour so am doing my own thing.

She is really shaping up Mobbsie.  The nettings add a veil of interest, just as they did on a fine lady.
