Pile is impressed,  says we are down to 3 benches, two rudders and 60 white cleats and we are finished.  Although this build is going to have a 19x31 display stand. I went to the shed and got the base cut for it.  And started playing. Lol.

This is what I am going to be playing with. Water, telegraph lines andpoles. It goes on and on . Tomorrow I will finish it up,  and then it will be the first thing I put on display.  Which means the workbench  is free for the next build. Hold me back lol

This was a fun build , @Bob Fraser thanks again mate the plan was a life saver for me. I couldn't make out what the CD instructions were,  but I could copy what I saw thanks,  I still have your address,  so I will post you a Christmas card.

And thanks so much for all the King of The Mississippi  logs here on MSW. For this build and the hard to follow instructions , I know I couldn't have done it without you all, thanks all for posting.

Well one more day and she is  finished,  maybe two lol.

Bob  M.

I am going to open the box

   Lol. 😆 🤣

Well I think I am going to mark this boat finished.  :) . I have finished as much as the kit has, the rest of the diorama will be extra.  Like I said a fun build but lack of instructions an my lack of understanding things was the only draw back.

I had a great time l

, and hope I didn't  offend anyone  with my log.

Here is some final pictures, then she off the bench and on to the diorama.  Making room for my next build The Duchess of Kingston. Not sure when I will start, but soon I think, something has to be sorted out and then I can start another model.  :D:D.

Thanks so much everyone,  you have made my boat a keeper  ❤️ 😀

Nicely done Bob! I've been watching in the background but not able to comment -  a good job well done.  (lots of life things and 0 space to do anything until at least after christmas now keeping me otherwise engaged)

Glad the plans helped - I know I used them a lot.  If you spot someone else who needs them please pass them forward 😁

Oh Thank you all,  @bobandlucy I was half way through my build when I came across your build, I love it. I had decided to keep mine close to natural  wood, but those painted log like your are fantastic.  Paul Jarman, as well as all the other logs I studied,  thanks for posting.

@Cathead Looking over your riverboat logs got me all excited  like when @Glen McGuire got me to do a Ship in a Bottle  I was tempted to build another  riverbaot.

@John Ruy I will keep you updated  for sure, just not sure where to post it, just continue with this log or do I have to make one for the  diorama,  I will find out. 😉  John you did a fantastic job on your  Bluenose, yes I know I got all twisted when I saw yours that I told you I was going to do one. Lol, I got two  to do , Bluenose that is. But, I decide to build one more ship  before doing a Bluenose.  I am so glad that you posted yours I will look at it often I am sure.

I received alot of help with this log, and will definitely pay it forward.  If I can help I will, or at least directly you to someone who knows.

A big thanks to all the administration  here on MSW/NRG for their help, so proud to be a part of the organization.  All the info and incouragement  that you have all given me is overwhelming.

Thankyou all again for helping me learn how, I amm hooked for life, modeler forever lol.

Thanks for the kudos… so many boats to build, it’s hard to stay focused. Enjoy your next project, that’s what it’s all about.

20240909_121600.thumb.jpg.a6998cf2166fcbe49d68e3bf775422a3.jpgThis will be were my Mississippi diorama will be placed when finished. First I will cut and trim the green carpet then, 20240909_121646.thumb.jpg.54a9eaa23862c1de73d811b13ba0b0d2.jpg

It will have a RHE rail line, rabbit hole express,  name by @Keith Black thanks my man.20240909_121656.thumb.jpg.2a5c3ce400f582f873641138c2bde74f.jpg

The Green line will be were the ferris wheel will go, the red lines are road ways, blue is the water and the yellow line is were scenery pictures will go. Beside the green  tractor will be a corel system.

Some of the figures are,

And the man in black with sunglasses  lol

20240908_170832.jpg.8dde9a0b4d8fd729689eaa656a7b376f.jpg

My good freind and fellow modeler  @Gabek has provided me with lots of figures for the boat, I will have a crew working on replacing the broken pitman .As well as some kids and ladies with umbrellumbrellas.

20240906_210330.thumb.jpg.b49addacd55e916894fd1e20e261d6c4.jpg

They are all painted and ready to install.

The figures are amazing  esay to paint, it is the Army speed paint that does the work it is amazing  stuff.

So I brought the display back down to the shipyard

20240729_221824.thumb.jpg.e9d103e5a9cbb07e805b18f92c59ea2f.jpg

Then I put most of it away, I have a few figures for the Duchess  but they are in the early stages of painting.

1000006397.thumb.jpg.38d0db7e2b5a9d6448785d0e36244fe7.jpg

At least they have faces lol. The figures I got from A L  are faceless,  and the women have man faces, one even has a beard lol. At least you won't see them up close.

Well that's  it for now, awaiting ferris wheel,  and water effects supplies.  This will take for ever lol.

 Thanks for looking.

@WGibson welcome aboard 😀,  Thus is a fun model to put together, the Instructions are a bit wanting I guess. So if I can help you with anything I will  try.

The boat is  finished, but I have a niece who comes over on Wednesday afternoon and every other weekend.  So today we were putting  figures on and got a few messages from @Gabek she asked who is that lol. She heard the ping lol.I told her it was my friend that made me the Mark Twain figure. Lol.next question was who is Mark Twian lol.

We have been working on the King of the Mississippi when she comes over. Today is a great day to do this, it got my mined off the Astrolabe  lol.

The niece and I are decision-making for the boat, who go's were and what animals we are going to put on, plus a Farris wheel  and the river. She wants to make the river next week.

20250208_145749.thumb.jpg.7e78e0d3e80f23a32f36a9d5b5f85770.jpg

She got a little ruff with the long horns and we need to fix his horn and she broke the maintenance man hammer. So we decide to quit for today.

20250208_145358.thumb.jpg.a8c4bf482e6b7a89a166dd6b6a3abec4.jpg

one thing we will do is make these maintenance workers look like they are replacing the broken cam shaft.20250208_145405.thumb.jpg.6ea39624c7f815321aedcfa9f6028015.jpgThese will be the dock workers.20250208_145540.thumb.jpg.f97cea866ff5cf46a865b3272475fd32.jpg

20250208_145749.thumb.jpg.7e78e0d3e80f23a32f36a9d5b5f85770.jpg

I told the niece that @hollowneck has a video on how to make water. We will watch it on Wednesday and see if we can get started. Ok fun and games.

Good bye from both of us.

Uncle Bob and the niece.  🧝‍♂️

Tell your niece not to feel bad.  Broken horns happen from time to time.  My young (but large) steer Shiloh, got thru the fence and had a little confrontation with his daddy.  Not sure what they were arguing about, but daddy bull ended up with both his horns broke off clean at the skull.  Here's daddy bull, afterwards, and he is not in a very good mood.  At least the horns on yours can be fixed.  This poor guy got polled the hard way and the horns ain't coming back!
