You folks on here are way too nice.  But I greatly appreciate you're stopping by.

Fear not Anja, plenty of champagne to go around (even for Sjors).

BOB-  me, fear rigging?  No that was planking......or was it coppering.....or  :)  :)  :) ?  We're getting there thanks in good part to the advice and support on here.

OK, everyone else's turn.  I'll be watching

I hope you have been enjoying some barley sodas for this accomplishment! It all looks incredible. Moving on to the tan ropes now, huh? Your Syren really looks fantastic and makes me think that this will be in wish list of builds.

We're neck and neck.  Two guys finishing rats on the same day!  But I still have more standing rigging to do and a ton of spars to shape before I break out the tan!

Frank ---- good to hear from you.  Yeah, I put in 10 or 15 minutes every week and the progress just happens :P  :P .  Of course, I've yet to tackle barnacles!!!

Regarding our young friend Sjors, mentorship would be more up your alley.  His latest foray in marine architecture has resulted in a piggy back, 9 deck behemoth sporting over 100 guns.  I'm sure you've seen it.  Throttling back his unbridled enthusiasm requires a man of your stature and experience.

Many thanks, gentlemen.  But more important than a few feet of standing rigging, Popeye is back on the case and has his Goth almost back up.

Augie,

You're moving right along again.  Popeyes picking up the pace.  Sjors is being Sjors. :)    Once more all is well in the world.  Lovely standing rigging, by the way, which helps make everything well again.
