Hello Augie,

Looking good Augie.

PS- Flying season has begun in earnest. So I'm putting you-know-who on notice that pictures shall not be falling from the sky like confetti :D:D

I hope you mean the fly fishing season sport-graphics-fishing-104352.gif

Because then it doesn't matter if you-know-who doesn't get any pictures, he will just join you.

But I warn you ..... he will make pictures.

Take care,

Anja

Augie - wow,  miss a few days and holy posting explosion batman - all caught up now.   The standing rigging - SUPERB....  now, if you could just undo it and take us through each knot one by one; with photographs of course - so when I fall to temptation and get this kit I will have a leg up ;)   Too much?  okay =(

Seriously though Augie - that is one incredible looking vessel!

Hmm.. Augie and Sjors... in the same river.   Sjors with a fly rod, Augie with a Fokker.  The mental image is too much.   post-76-0-78180500-1363201919.gif      I gotta' get a grip.

Anja -- JP hit it on the head.  This is RC aircraft.  The fly fishing doesn't start for 3 weeks (water is still a little 'hard').  You forget, we 'old folks' need to do something while you youngsters work.

Thank you Bob and John.  It's appreciated.

Not sure you could catch fish with a Fokker.

Augie:

I have just been looking over your build here. The photos with the standing rigging in place are awesome. The entire model is just outstanding. Paintwork, details, nice taut rigging, and some good looking spars so far. Great work indeed. I will be checking in to see how you progress from here.

Time for a small update.  Didn't want Andy to sail off without some fond memories.

We have ventured into the realm of running rigging (the brown stuff) with the installation of the spanker boom and gaff.  Their addition has certainly filled out the stern.

It was a little hard getting the right background but I think you'll get the idea.  She has now reached her full LOA.

Will be moving forward now with topmast halliards, etc. before we get to YARDwork :) .

Thank you Russ, Frank, Dan, Andy and Sjors.  Your comments are always appreciated.

John -  thanks for the reminder.  A bigger probem for me is sticking my face into the rigging while working on the inside opposite side of the hull.  Should be a riot once the yards are set!  That's still a ways out.
