I am Mehmet from Turkey-Ankara

I have recently started building Ottoman Cargo Boat, I also have applied some weathering, will attach more photos as I progress. I would be glad to hear your suggestions

thanks David,

I applied acrilic paint with brush, after it go dry I applied some light and medium sanding, heavy sanding to the corners etc.

for the deck and sides firstly I sanded the pastel chalk sticks of dark brown and white, the dust was applied with a thin brush.

How far away from being finishied is she; eg will she have a mast, or was driven by oars?

the vessel is mainly driven by sail, I will add 1 mast and attached spars and sails (most of them will be furled as I plan), also some cargo will be added on to the deck (sacks, boxes etc.)

so it seems to be at the half of the way, a lot more work to do :-)

here is the progress so far, sails are furled and attached to spars, I decided all sails to be furled so that rigging and deck details can be seen clearly

Very, very nice! I especially like the furled sails, which immediately adds a point of difference from other models which have all their sails fully open.

I have made some sacks from tea bags I have previously used, the paper  bags are pretty suitable for this job, so is the tea particles inside :-)

this weekend I have made baskets, an undefined wrapped cargo and a buck for decorations

Hi MehabaI, I'd like to hear more about the rig, like the sprit.  It  seems to be fixed.  Once un brailed and the vangs eased,Is there enough slack in the lashings to permit the sprit and the sail to be eased out when sailing down wind ? Also can you tell me about the furled sails near the deck ? A curious sprit sail fan would like to know. Thanks
