  1. A stair stepping would look better, like your last picture. You're looking for a nice waterfall in a stream, not Niagara Falls. 😄
  2. The brass banding on the green barrel looks spot on. The early loco designs for valve gearing are fascinating. Very nice work, Kev.
  3. Very well done, Andy. That name board is the frosting on the cake. 👍And Happy New Year.
  4. Nice work. 👍 I had a '68 Dodge Charger that I said very similar things about. Had a large hole in the gas tank, draining into the engine.😉
  5. Not to worry Rob. We'll all be here after the holidays. 😄
  6. The F-104 had a J-79 engine in it. Similar to the F-4, B-58 and A-5. There were probably others. Loud, but outstanding throttle response.
  7. The F-104 had a very high wing loading. Went fast as all get out, but don't try to turn very hard. Seems like it took many miles for a 180 degree turn. Bouncing one while flying in Germany, back in the 70s, was a bit of sport for we Phantom Phlyers. Something we turned better than. And it was actually NATO sanctioned, as they were pushing good visual lookout. Can't do that anymore. Merry Christmas. y'all.
  8. Alan, that is a very nice selection of aviation books. I may chase down several of them, like the Mosquito raid. Thanks for sharing. Hope you're feeling better soon. Merry Christmas.
  9. My condolences on your Dad's passing, Brad. And you're spot on about dispositions of your "estate". Nice save on your "holes". Gotta keep the water away from the electrons. 😉
  10. The 2 tones look better. I really like the low rider.😁
  11. Yeah, the modern DCC module (Digital Command Control) adds sounds and lighting controls.
  12. Maybe a gloss charcoal gray. Tamiya German Gray maybe. The gloss black may subdue the steel.
  13. The rare Sicilian longhorini hornusmaximus. 😁
  14. The word shoehorn comes to mind.😉 A good sealing dust mask is also a good idea when working with dust producing operations on resin parts.
  15. I, too, think it's Calvados, a spirit distilled from apples.
  16. I'm in too, George. The American Civil War has been a major historical study for me. I'm more of a Brown Water fan, but Kearsarge was one of the ships I built back in the day.
  17. Craig, my condolences, too. The drug issue is so pervasive. I see the lives lost or screwed up by this insidious killer where I work at our county courthouse.
  18. I know what you mean Andy about smacking the old wallet. Tangent, Moloco and Scale Trains are Kryptonite or me.😉
  19. Your case is a fitting display for your Bismarck. Both superb!.
