So I am so close to listing the first two chapters folks.   Maybe Sunday or Monday.  I have one test shipment going out to get an idea of shipping across the country.  Once I know that I will list the remaining sets I have made for sale on the site.

I have one favor to ask....Please read below.

I am NOT limiting production so no need to jump on this.  In fact if you are not ready to start a build log and start building immediately I would ask that you wait for the next batch of chapter sets.  Seriously asking here.  If you are currently working on a model and are several months or even a year away from starting Speedwell,  It would suck for these to sit on a shelf.  Especially when I know of at least ten guys who are waiting patiently to begin building Speedwell right now.  I know some of you are more than a year away from starting so please dont buy from this batch.  I will be making more consistently for the next few months before I start even thinking about making chapter 3 parts.  There will be plenty of opportunity.  Let the guys ready to start building get first crack at these please.

Also if I havent mentioned it....this will be a big model.   If you plan on rigging her it will be 52" long or thereabouts.....and about 40" tall.   The hull unrigged is 32" long.   So keep this in mind.  Remember its a 3/8" scale model.  A big girl.....

The chapter sets will come with printed plans.   Sheets one and two with the first chapter of parts.   The remaining will come with the chapter sets when needed.  Here are a few just to give you an idea.

    Hello again.
Can you tell me how did you achieve the water depth graduation at the bow of the ship? I am finishing the Boshulan model (former Billing Boats kit) and I would like to be able to do the same work as you.
    Thank you for the information.
    Cordially.

Great job, I really appreciated the quality of your work.
This model is rare, is it from a kit or did you make it from a plan?

Bonjour 😜. J'aime beaucoup votre maquette!

God dag, Erik. I’m following the instructions of the moving company, who basically said they will not take any wood with them. Checked the Norwegian customs site, the info is quite vague, probably because I need to rely on internet translation. Might be there is a difference between importing processes?

hi, there might be some difference and you can also contackt costums by mail and ask them.

there is also a building grup in Oslo, (Maritim modell klubb) am a member there also. They have also meethings etc

many of them knows where to go and get wat you need ..

    Hi all,

I hope this is the right place for my request, as I did not see any other category it could fit into.

I've been a member for some time, so nothing new there, but my location is about to change, drastically. The company I work for is sending me to Norway (Oslo area) to lead a project for one year.

As I'm currently building Occre's Endurance (no build log yet, sort, it's been hectic trying to organise everything over the last months) my original thought was to pack up the shipyard and continue in the new destination. Norwegian customers had a different opinion: no import of any wood is allowed.

After some teeth grinding, here's what I want to do: pack the shipyard, put Endurance in storage, leave all the spare wood home and buy a new kit once I'm there. So here's the question: could any members who have experience with buying/building kits in Norway please share the names and addresses of the stores where they buy their supplies?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi,  am living in stavanger. Norway. i by most of my stuff from US or EU also wood so i dont understand wat you meen about no import?

Will hobbymill mill the wood to your desired thickness? I would inquire to see if they also offer a lumber package for the Winchelsea. I believe the owner of hobbymill.eu is also a MSW member.

yes  thee is a lumber package all milled ready to go, but the price is 314 euro for ayc and about 385 euro for boxwood +shipment and tax

if i get the sheets and mill my self the cost is about 90-100 euro ☺☺

  11. hi ,again☺ know my joureny begins .... after waiting for this build to start ,

i have order the 1/4 laser cut bulkhead set from Chuck , but i do have to wat for it.....😲

so ... am desided to plank the hull with boxwood and am also using the ayc for the dekk planking and many other parts

because there are many parts thats  is painted , so fore this am using the ayc kits from Chuck.

As i can see, Modeler's sawmill do not ship to Norway/Euro. so i have to get it from Hobbymill.EU

thats means the sheets is in metric so i have to cut it twice to make it to inch...

example: 1/4 (6.35 mm) for this i need 7mm sheet  then cut it down .. thats Europe...😉

there wil be some photos later lol...
