  1. Ed, Lovely work on the rigging. Doesn't tensioning the shrouds like you did risk having the deadeyes "off line"
  2. Thought there would be madness in your methods ... That last picture where you stend besides you ship shows it ... You have still a ways to go before you get where you show us you want to go. Take in mind the navy is a tadd more strickt in maintenance ... although, they might have turned a wee bit slack during WWII. Looking forward to your next postings
  3. "If I don't keep my word, bug me mercilessly. " That's easy, but will it motivate you ... You did, however, picked up where you left off, and make progress. A slow start is as much a start as a running one Keep it up
  4. Looks spiffy, especially starboard! "things should be easier from now on" That's what modellers always say, until proven contrary
  5. If you had an island with palmtrees in the background ... it would be the real deal to see. Looking swell, mate
  6. Planking looks amazingly good, Russ. As far as I can see you have two equal parts on either side of the "lead line" ... considering your present planking state: Ready in a jiffy it seems to me
  7. It seems you deal quite well with tricky parts, Dan. As you wrote:, Just a glop of paint on the edges before fitting ...
  8. That could be very nice. I wonder if the seas got very high in the North Sea, my experience - from the trip of Hoek of Holland to 'arrich - was not such impressive waves, as it is just a narrow stretch of water ... watch out for Frostbite
  9. And more very crisp detail. You are moving along quickly, Jesse. I especially like the way made the cleats and how sharp they turned out.
  10. you still have promises to keep though ... it's a little more promising too Results are getting better and better, Mr Bunny You could take the road less traveled by as it makes all the difference ...
  11. Interesting, Mike. Looking forward to your box's apparition. How long is the length of the led string?
  12. That looks like silk to the touch. Great work on the sanding Daria! It will make the second planking easier to do. You tell daddy to do as you instruct him to!
  13. Nice Danny, Anoher IJN build, glad I found it in time, about halfway through right ... strange to hear about a card build with PE, haven't seen that yet. I saw it's not just the "simplicity" of instructions you encounter, but you seem to have parts on "none" sheets too, are those the left out sheets, or just clearly invisible? Cheers
  14. For a serious first time, you do seriously well Steven. Can't help you on the filler part, as the ones I know are either for plastic, or will show up ugly when you treat the hull with clear laquer
  15. Maybe you should go all the way to Spain and learn how to do it from master Montanes, instead of kicking him ... so destructive ... I would like to see this build finished in the near future, not postponed because of ill treatment of the builder
  16. You could turn this in a half model, and start anew ... (merely suggesting ) I like the way your stands are developing. Pearwood is quite nice to shape
  17. Nenad, Don't we all overload from time to time. As for sadness, it's the way you deal with it, but you will find your ballance in life, I am certain of it, so too with her majesty and hard head. Cheers
  18. Nifty, mate, the water that is ........ the rest too, you seem to have a nack for the miniature in modelling Cheers
  19. Hmmm, you could set a speed limmit, but once an Admiral is on the run ... Hope to see you make some charcoal soon, Mark
  20. "Married a long time, that'll do it." That must be the secret ... I'm not, just sharing a ramshackle shack
