  1. Better to show it again, then deprive us of the knowledge, Mike. Thank you for your version!!
  2. Ah, check, and check again One reason I try to use the old system disk, or make a disk copy, including mbr (master boot record), to a new disk. No problems with activation I can imagine ... even when things do not go as smoothly as you like in the workshop, it is still less stressful compared to computers and related stress Hope you get your activation solved quickly
  3. I'm all a back ... did you perhaps have a ruler near the items when you were working on them ... because I'm very bad in inches ... (just another metric idiot)
  4. Let me put it this way Mike: He was the first to come with the setup It's neither link from Mark, and I can't find it, but I do remember. It was a big drillpress
  5. Sooner a designer error ... I wouldn't call it an error, that's due the program ... I would go for temporary insanity. Nice tool though!!! Whom ever said inventors are sane ...
  6. That's typical Corel hull wood ... sooner Corel wood. I'm not impressed with their planking types either. But you bought a kit not to replace all plank type woods, did you? Nevertheless a nice result for the poor quality wood you've been working with
  7. It was Modeler12 (Jay) whom showed the dremel mounted on his drillpress
  8. I get the distinct impression Microsoft is trying to force people to use Windows 10. The last 7 months I find it extremely difficult to update my Windows 7 (professional & Ultimate) on all of my systems: laptops (4) and PC's(3). Sometimes I need to try it for 3 or 4 consecutive days before I can get the download to start. The BSOD doesn't surprise me ... I ran one laptop on win 10, but that has been deteriorating since the beginning (a brand new ASUS). The(windows) start button doesn't work any more, I need to shutdown on a command prompt, Windows update won't work either... I'll be installing Linux on that one, every windows operating system which fails from now on will be replaced by a Linux O/S
  9. Question, Robin: Do you always spray a gloss layer for protection, even if you finish it of with a matt varnish ?
  10. It does look smashing, and you should appreciate your prowess a tad more ... "even becoming very happy with my piano playing too, although to old to do much with it now" I don't know, look at Seasick Steve ... probably get sick when he even looks at ship model, but he can make some nice coin even at his age
  11. Still not prepared to let her go ... Frightened parent ... or don't trust the crawling creeps around your baby ...
  12. Marvelous details, Greg. So you've been running around with 350 meters of cable on your back and a blowtorch... must be devastating on your physique ... it does look great though ... I won't be working with a carpet underneath when working with these small items. Either a sheet, or concrete/wood
  13. Seems it's accident season in Canada, first Allan, now you. Be careful, and take care of that leg. To much inertia doesn't do good either as the blood flow will be slow
  14. Interesting concept, the CA with the solder, must remember it. Saved by the bell ... as it was to large ... You are doing some fiddly work. I see some more small items stowed in the background. Looks good, Jesse. Don't stress, so far you have come up with solutions to everything. It looks like you practise our royalties motto: "Je maintiendrai"
  15. Haven't tried that search yet! Thanks. Found a howto on a Yamato but that one was ugly as hell. Plating looked like thick plasterboard with gollups of plaster
  16. Can't go wrong with old Humbrol stock ;)Got some stashed in a carton box somewhwere ... one never knows when they come in handy
  17. Improve on you photoshop skills to strat with mate. Upside down pictures won't do Some close-ups, from the hull too, would be nice. I want to be able to give you an honest opinion (even if you don't like what I have to say) I expect nothing less from you on my builds
