  1. Tony, I've enjoyed your Sherbourne build, and I'm sure I shall enjoy the present build as much, if not more ... Each build we start, and (hopefully) finish, prepares us to improve, for the next build, or another future build. I like Remco's signature, which states to treat each part as a model on itself. I think it makes you get the best out of you for each part. It's a good way to go heads on with the tasks at hand. So I'll be sitting back, relax, and enjoy the view you'll be painting with parts Cheers
  2. We should ask Patrick, he come up with the idea
  3. Ah well, yet another whome takes the path less travelled by ... and that has made all the difference
  4. Going fast again. Question: Why don't you use styrene for the decks ?
  5. A mid seventeen century barge, with steam propulsion ... now that's a challenge I would like to see Bob. And of course the carvings, and banners It would blow the minds of the barge's contemporaries ...
  6. But, Bob, what have you done now the ship's midgets can escape from the lower hull deck :D Yes it did look (a bit) silly, i.e. the block underneath the ladder
  7. If you get me a ticket ... I don't think it matters, those last planks will be half size once they hit the bottom of the keel. Actually, it looks better than having a (half) stealer and drop plank to correct the angle, and thus the width at the bottom of the keel. Which brings me to the next question (no not about the cabin) Should you have started planking from the back of the keel, or would the angle be wrong to the (minds-) eye ...
  8. John, I thought it was a mouth full of horse manure ...
  9. Yeah, right, as if I should believe that ... you just chickend out ... or "I thought the easiest way to do something was to get someone else to do it." and you didn't find the right person yet I like the diagonal planking you're doing, it gives the hull a whole knew dimension. Cheers
  10. I would like to see the inside before I made such a statement ...
  11. That's it ... Capstan bars ... you wake me up for that ! Lovely work, Nenad.they look smashing

  13. Right, Mike, hold you to it. I can look at the keelson!!! P.s. My Swedish is bad if not existing!
  14. Greg, You are going to build both the old and the new tool ... A tad to fast for me. My pontos set from Australia hasn't arrived yet, so I'll be copying your work later Pitty you are doing the new tool kit. I'll be referencing as much as possible for Musashi, but it seems I will need to get some Yamato info as well. Cheers
  15. Good reason to go North. Always wanted to see Scandinavia, although Stockholm isn't very rural I presume ...
  16. So now you can get to the lower deck with your whip, without having to touch the rowers She does start to look like a bireme. Love the way the bow turned out
  17. Where will you display your craft's result ... You should give people a chance to see it
  18. Looking good OC. Hope to do as well as you when I work on my battleship
  19. Mike, Lovely work on the keelson. You can get a hollow plane for those curves, or a spherical ... There is no next time for the keelson ... just a next build
  20. If this how you start, we are in for some more eye candy. Looking good Kees!!
  21. Good to see you got a chance to pick up some of the tools of the trade! Looking forward to see more progress ... Cheers
  22. Should we call you "mother" .... ???????? Planning a build on the side ... Cheers
  23. Julie, You do not need me to build that cabin That's an ingenious solution. Love your build, teaches me quite a few things! Cheers
