  1. Ah, but that's an entirely different matter, Dave. You cannot have enough saws!!!
  2. A masterpiece Dennis, whilst thinking on what to do next, you might give it a coat of primer ... it's getting chilly at night
  3. You are pulling me legg ... that small magnificent, Nenad .......
  4. Dave, I don't think people will be spending money on the Byrnes AND the Domanoff ropewalk. The chance you find someone whom has worked them both is probably nill
  5. Johan, You can do it yourself, he is a member on this forum!!! Writes English too, so you do not need either of us to translate You can find him here: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/user/909-g-delacroix/
  6. If he doesn't get enough interested, you could have a look at the ones from Alex Domanofff as alternative (see ad on home page)
  7. A thing ... ... thought you were building a bireme ... Nice skeleton you've ended up with
  8. My French is good. Spoken at least ... Maybe I can get in touch with a maritime museum in France on your behalf ... if you like I can try. My German is bad, event though my grand father came from Uedem ...
  9. That will bring you to the top without much hassle ... nicely done. Maybe for a next time: juwelers use either a cooliong paste/gel or what they call Brusselse Aarde to keep already soldered parts from loosening when they need to solder close to a previous joint
  10. Sorry to hear the work kicked in again. Employers do know there isn't much chance an employee will not make the extra time in fear of loosing his/her job. Aswell they know they can offer lower wages when the interest for a position is high ... Fortunately whe have something like minimum wages. What happend to your better half would result in the employer being served a heavy fine and a rectification of the wages paid when not conforming to the law. Hope to see you back at the bench soon, we'll be here, waiting in anticipation Cheers
  11. Will look definitely much beytter when finished. You certainly won't see those ugly layers from the plywood. Well done
  12. Patrick, You must be in the clouds, a very creative build with the necessary ups and downs to keep you on your toes. Smashing! Cheers
  13. Mick, That's some major impressive decoration you are doing mate. Love those tiles, very impressive. Cheers P.s. What's the size of those wagon wheels, you slipped in? They seem large ...
  14. It may be Chinese crap, Mike, but you still have a very good result in spite of that so called crappy thing ...
  15. That is increadible, Buck ... You are actually going to put more details on something we can hardly see without a loupe !?!?!?!?
  16. Thanks mate, that will mean an UV block on the case ... or a darkroom (pun intended)
  17. What do you mean by "Apparently it does not like sunlight" ? It gets brittle, stiffens, gets a lot of slack, etc P.s. Your Ezyline is an Australian line for your laundry Seems it is EZ-line or EZ line. Sells in the UK too and should be available in different colours (daddyrabbit)
  18. Looks good, Robin. So what'll you do when you didn't reach your target? To bed early I saw you weren't buolding side by side your two kits. Is that to avoid conflicts between your work forces ... Am enjoying your build so far
  19. **) It could if round deadeyes was available of a previous build at the time La Creole was constructed, the oval might not have been used ... P.s. How good is your French?
  20. Johann, Are those general documents for ship builders/building, or specific for La Creole? One should take into account the shortage on timber in France during the Napoleonic period ... therefore, could those have been round is the next question, or how far has Boudriot been off the mark ...?
  21. I can feel the pain in my eyeballs going through the synapses to my head's slushy mass. It feels like I'm looking at the brass parts of the Fokker DR1 at 1:72 I'm building on the side. It looks the part ... it is the part. It is astonishing. If ever I need aerials like those I come back to this very build, Greg.
