  1. Hey buddy, you were one of the first who help me open my can of worm's here on MSW and have always been impressed by your work today is no exception. All I can say when your done build a bigger one I know lol Something Four feet long maybe, lol.

     really  Impressive

  2. Yes Gabe definitely look at @Katsumoto log it's fantastic.  I only found his log  when I was almost finished  my Santa Maria. His work and how he explains it was really helpful.  He really made me up my game on knot tying. It shows on my Pinta. It's way better but I still got lots to learn.   He is a master that's for sure. And he might be able to help you Pick up the pace lol   Give'er

  3. wow Keith I really like how you do things, and have dropped by from time to time and have tried to copied lots from your log thanks for your time and pictures. I am just starting to rig my Mayflower and these pictures will help lots thanks

  4. Well just a little  up date. This is so much fun, having the time of my life these days. Starting to understand  my computer better, now just got to learn how to spell and read more carefully.

This is all the instructions for the shrouds, ratlines and plates for the deadeyes , Fig 70.  I could have used a little more  guidance  here but have learned how to read Amati  instructions  so should be a walk in the park . Lol after that step it's the sails.lol. I think this will take me awhile. But I am up for the shrouds and rat lines. I have seen shrouds and ratlines done several different ways.  I have my own method,  I make the shrouds first then tie them on. After they are in its the ratlines. Best installed when singing  the tune 99 ratlines on the wall, 99 ratlines lol.  I took a few pictures of were the ship stands now.

I kept breaking the bowsprit mast off Three times finally  I said what are you trying to tell me here. After studying the plan I discovered  it was in the wrong place. I had it resting on the bow when in fact it is supposed to be  one inch up from the bow. Glued it in the right spot  retried the Bowsprit gammoning, and have not knocked it off since.

Like I said starting the rigging  and seizing,  ratlines. Then  I have two Bitts to put on lol. Thanks  for all the looks and likes.  everyone   :cheers:20230301_152512.thumb.jpg.205fdd99ac3b00e7d0a5d149d785961c.jpg20230224_152509.thumb.jpg.9d9b95798097ad87f2ddde2abbf517ff.jpg20230224_154734.thumb.jpg.7e1a01b2da7e1d10e94aa30c144132b6.jpg20230303_144331.thumb.jpg.38fd5b4a0cb73aed4c8bc625fc1ab313.jpg20230303_144343.thumb.jpg.da71f94cddeaec2519c26d2422ecc1dd.jpg20230303_144343.thumb.jpg.da71f94cddeaec2519c26d2422ecc1dd.jpg20230303_144923.thumb.jpg.7f49c452802df3a25e292aaea3ea10a0.jpg

Hello, I use a drop of super glue, wrap it around and another drop , then tuck in the ends careful to much stains the rope. Then 50-50 mix of white glue and water . It's not the right way but it works for me.  You could look on utube for Paul Lester Mayflower build he shows how to tie off the bindings. hope it helps
