Hello JJ,

Tiger is well and waiting for me to take action again. I started carefully and repaired some things from the spring.

The last fall went into a sunny and mild fall and I bought me a pedelec to cruise through the near and far neighbourhood. And because my meniscus did't protest, also for shopping to the next town. So my car had mostly holiday 😉

But to stay with the subject of this forum. If there weren't the supporters for the cathead! But at least I haven't any more excuses not to start, so I will start at the shipyard very soon.

Regards,

Siggi

Hello and thank you all for your comments and likes, I'm overwhelmed

today only a little update, even when it took nearly the same time, as to build the knees. This piece is only to fill the gab to the wales.

Your painting on the friezes and headwork is masterful. And inspiration for us all.

I was about to  mention that myself, but you beat me to it Mark. Splendid Siggi 🙂

Happy modelling!

Hello,

Mark and Håkan, so let inspire you. I will see then if it has worked.

Here the first rail is mostly in shape and the second one is on the way to it.

I find getting these 'just right' the hardest challenge in a model, as they curve in all planes. Looks lke you've conquered the problem beautifully, Siggi.

Be sure to sign up for an epic Nelson/Trafalgar project if you would like to see it made into a TV series  http://trafalgar.tv

While I tend to build in a highly stylized manner I can certainly appreciate that your model probably comes closer to the actual ships appearance than any other model on this site. Truly inspirational!

Hello and thank you for your nice comments and likes,

today the carpenters finished the rails, so next the painter should do his best.

Hope you have managed to recruit the same carpenters and painters, save you the time of training new ones.

Finished builds are

1/35 Endeavour's Longboat by Artesania Latina

1/36 scratch built Philadelphia Gunboat from the Smithsonian Plans

Current build is

Scratch build Boudroit's Monograph for La Jacinthe at 1/36

Hello,

the painter is a little out of training! But at least we got it. That's the second try now. The rail ist not fast, first the paint must dry.

Hello,

it is done, the last rail at the head is ready and fast! At least I have to reinstall the two port lids and then the gratings are the next goal.
