A gloss varnish, decals, seal the decals with another gloss varnish, then a liberal covering of Flory Models dark dirt wash. Almost done now.

The nice thing about the Flory wash, if you don’t like the way it looks after you’ve applied it, you can wash it away with water and start all over again. Very forgiving whereas most washes are somewhat permanent. Trying to remove them will damage the paint underneath. Flory doesn’t do that.

That’s good to know about Flory washes, I’ve struggled with washes sometimes, but not tried Flory ones.

So liking the  finish  of this,  and as  others  have said  the wash/s   have made  so  much  difference  making the  details  really  stand out.

A friend  of  mine  is really  into  UFO  stuff  and   he was  sent a  photo  that  some had  done a  screen shot  off a video  still,   would so make an excellent  scratch  build   -

That came out great Craig, nice job!  Can I ask where you got the Flory Washes?  I looked for them once before but couldn't find them.  I saw Hannants sells them, but they won't ship them to the US.

I bought all the Flory items a few years ago direct from Flory in the UK. Now, he only sends them to a distributor in the USA. Right now, this shop carries the Flory stuff:

I have not ordered from them as my stock is still in good shape. I like the sanding sticks and will probably place an order for more of those soon.
