  1. Hi Allan, I emailed Bob and he said it should be on the website for sale and delivery next week. Can't wait to get my hands on it, will really help me out on designing the Indy. Ben
  2. Moro Very nice detailing on that anchor Pasi, your simulated iron bands look great, I've used pin striping tape before to good effect. Ben
  3. Your right Toni, the boxwood looks and has a really good contrast, I really thought it was holly from the pic. Ben
  4. Looks really nice Chris, that is a hell of a lot of oars, they must of been able to get it up to a good speed. Ben
  5. Looking impressive as always Gaetan, everybody there must of been speechless! Ben
  6. Please let Grants next project be a TFFM swan class!! That would be great to see. Ben
  7. Thanks Druxey, I get what you mean. I spoke to my NRG mentor and he also gave some good advice so..... When I get home later this week I will measure the maximum height of breadths to see if there is an obvious issue, if there is I will reposition them. If I don't see something obvious then i may try fairing it all in and then see if there's an issue, If there is I will remove the bad frames and remake them a little fuller in the places that were thin. That's the plan anyway. Lol Ben
  8. Steels 1805 naval architecture. TFFM vol 1 thru 4 Fitting and arming of a man o war. Lees masting and rigging. Ben
  9. You have an Excalibur scroll saw u lucky dog! That is truly the rolls Royce .I know dewalt designed the 788 after that model, I just couldn't afford the double price! Ben
  10. Hi Patrick, I love the point you make that you have learned patience, it's in my opinion the ship modellers greatest tool. Very hard too learn though! Lol Ben
  11. Hi Druxey, I have absolutely no issue with people offering constructive comments on my build, I thank you again for looking. Please take another look at the last picture looking at the inside of the frames, notice how the line of the heels is a pretty nicely curved line between all of these frames, that makes me hope that I haven't done this wrong, but I will be checking it anyway to look for an error. Ben
  12. Thanks Patrick, Druxey, Pete and everyone for the likes. Druxey - I think I see what your talking about from the picture from astern, I will make some measurements from the DOF and TFFM plans to see if they are off, thanks for keeping your eyes out for me. Ben
  13. She really looks great upside down, I'm sure no actual shipwright ever wanted to imagine that way! Ben
  14. You really do have a plan this time Mark!! I'm sure everything you learned in V1.0 will give you a great headstart with V2.0. I'm just stumbling along from piece to piece with my Pegasus. Ben
  15. Really nice Toni, I assume you used holly for the gratings?? Ben
  16. I noticed today that Seawatch books have updated their upcoming books list for this year. First available will be a book by Allan Yedlinsky of Eurayleas fame with scantling info which has been compiled from Steels, SR and the other establishments. This should be an awesome bible for us model builders. I will be ordering one of these the second it becomes available, to compliment my copy of Steels 1805 naval architecture. Ben
  17. Some very nice tool upgrades there Grant, I'm jealous of the dust extraction system, I'd love one of those. It looks like you are using a dewalt 788 scroll saw??? Have you tried using Flying Dutchman blades? I use the ultra reverse versions with good results, normally #3 and 5 sizes on the size stock I work with. However they don't last forever! Ben
  18. You are a braver man than I ED, having your fingers so close to that blade! I wouldn't even attempt it! Mass production of those knees is interesting and thanks for the history around it. Ben
  19. Thanks Andy, Surprisingly my scrap bin hasn't got that big yet, I have no idea why though, more luck than skill I think! Lol Ben
  20. Here are some pics of aft cant frames 8 thru 10 installed. Making up the last 3 frames now. Ben
  21. Well done Mark, lots of cutting and shaping ahead of you, good thing you have plenty of time on your hands. Ben
  22. The rigging of the wheel to rudder is great Danny, the reason for the nail is?? And the Syren company's products look excellent. Ben
