You can see older photos, all wires comes from down deck, connections will be hidden in a little box on the deck, still need to think design of the box.

Thank you Richard! I really like the way lanterns looks on the boat! Today was the day i raised forecastle mast, it looks so tall. Painted little pins, placed on the boat. Thought the kit is missing few pins, i will make them from scratch later on. Few photos.

Hi, thank you for your generous comments! Oc, winter is hitting hard here, can enjoy a lot of snow! Slowly working on ship masts, created front mast with working lantern, all wires are hidden. Few photos.

Thank you Bob, Don, appreciate that. Finished work on the lanterns, it is 10 mm hight, i did what it is possible for me to make it more real, still think to make wood holders for them. While it is winter few frozen sea moments, lights are working now.

Hello, i am happy you like the build, thank you OC, David, Bill for nice comments! Bill, i do not know much about this ship history, i know it was sister ship of Zeven Provinzien. I did not see Vest Friesland picture, but i did read about it somewhere. Can you post picture of it? Work going on slowly on the lanterns, was working on the deadeyes too. Kit supply not all deadeye holders of brass wire, i will have to make them my own. Sill need to get right wire for it. Few photos this week work.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
