  1. Glad you take your time, Piet ... You don't want to mess it up at the end by simply hurrying things ... you don't want to drop something ... Cheers
  2. Amalio, You are right. How much time it took you to build the frame/mold
  3. Last time I PM'ed Kees, he is doing well but following a program. He hasn't got much oportunity to get online though. He's around from time to time ...
  4. Looks like you are in overdrive!!! Find someone to read your drafts, I would volunteer, but unfortunately I'm not qualified for the task: My knowledge is insufficient as is my English Cheers
  5. Nils, You could ask Kees de Mol from this thread: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/topic/10339-kw88-pelikaan-by-kees-de-mol-dutch-beamtrawler-1999-scale-175/page-1 He has been making a lot of molds for that model ... besides it is a new challenge(!) something we should embrace in model building, right!? Cheers
  6. Know what you mean Mark. I still feel it ... DaddyRabbit, Thanks for showing. I'll cruise along, since I've got the Musashi kit from Tamiya waiting, with a PE detail upgrade set.
  7. Nils, You could get a plastic boot in the right size, and use that as a plug to build the number of boats on you need. You could do that for all three types ... Cheers
  8. Maybe you should be called Mr Fiddly. That just doesn't only look small, it is tiny!!
  9. Looking good, Mark. Just a few more to go ... before you can start on the next deck ... Is the gunroom the same as the powder room?
  10. To protect them is alright, Nenad. It is also something natural to do for parents. It is not bad, but sometimes it is necessary they bump their heads ... You can't protect them always, and you will not be there to protect them all the time ... I still know NOTHING, and am willing to learn, although, sometimes me too I'm like hothead ... to often I crash against the wall when that happens(!) I bet you do a hell of good job on them, you sound like a wonderful father!! Cheers
  11. Nenad, Seems nice to me. Maybe you should instill into him the wisdom of listening to the 'client' (you or any other person), which will sell, as opposed to listening to yourself as a grand and well known architect ...
  12. Good to hear that, Dick. I do look forward to read your article. If your writing resembles the way you write your post, we are in for an enjoyable, and very informative series. Cheers
  13. Dick, To me it's not about writing the thesis, it's about sharing your experiences, for most modellers never encounter a build like yours, or they just don't dare to venture in the unknown ...
  14. Lovely build, Siggi. I missed the start, but enjoyed reading your entire log. Real craftmanship, and eye for detail ... truely magnificent ... Cheers
  15. Fabulous, Mick ... The further I scrolled down the better it got ... I like the bending jig ... pitty "work" gets in the way though ... Cheers
  16. Nice work on the painting details, Denis. Your log could be used as a tutorial, including the masking ... very sharp lines .. like the red and grey on the windscreen, and those black window rubbers/gaskets ... still searching for your smear ... can't seem to put my finger on the spot though ...
  17. Or a simple working compass, although the sextant seems to me a big challenge
  18. That Scottish Preserve is your base layer ... before painting and filling ... She looks quite smooth ...
  19. That's the outside, I take it you have very little maneuverability on the inside, which was what I meant for the epoxy resin. Just coat the inside by rollin' it arround. If you get water inside, you'll have a problem too, so you can't rely on outside only, as it doesn't always come through the outside. However, that tutorial is good, thank you
