  1. Thanks for the likes and the support gents did I ever, OC ... My sentiments exactly LH Although you never know on what track you are ... Lou, haven't found any bonsai crew as yet, so I'll leave them as is for the time being ... most figures at 1/350 come in PE and are very flat ... not much real sailor body Actually, these oerlikons are far better to deal with than the tripple AA's from Musashi, those really give me a bleamin' headache.
  2. XXXL, XXL, XL, L, M, S, ........ what shall I say ... not to big would do I reccon ... 8 parts 20 mm Oerlikon cannons, need another four to complement the type for this build ...
  3. I either apply the glue to the PE, or to the plastic before I attach the item ... if ever I do apply glue when the part is positioned, I press it against the underground with tweezers and use a very thin drill to apply the CA, something like a 0.5mm (broken) drill
  4. The more often you work with these little parts the easier it becomes, Jack. Looking good for a first time P&PE ship
  5. Yes you should ... make an end to it ... that is: the build of Vendetta. How can I be disappointed when we get our value worth of build logS entertainment from you ... Insanity ... you could put it that way ... creative is another, or psyco ... ... you don't look fat ... at least ... no fatter than usual which is a thick as a web page can be
  6. I had some problems when using Tamiya "acrilycs" and Vallejo on top of one another, I used that for the camouflage on a Fokker Dr.1 However, I didn't have problems with Vallejo and other brands, especially after lettinmg it cure for a day as you do
  7. Thanks Denis, I like the colour scheme too, should have done it on Vendetta as you did. The demon ... hmmm, yes, there are still quite a few of us struggling with that one ... I don't dream of it, it gives me nightmares , although, only when I consider it which is rarely :) From what I saw, you do not really have the time to dream ... to many interesting builds ... hard to keep up with you mate
  8. it's so ... tidy, Sam ... goodness gracious ... your progress is rather good if not great, despite the hours ... I start to relate to you ... work wise that is, at modelling you are still far above me
  9. You could use liquid mask to protect the deck from dripping or smudging ... better try if you do, it may take off the paint from the deck ...
  10. Ah well, can't win 'em all but you only need one good hit to finish the fight ...
  11. The black is verrrrry black. You might try to make it very dark grey ... it will look more in proportion ... although, I do tend to forget it on my own models ... love the shading Butts
  12. Nice subject for a build, Jan. Rather fitting ... hope you don't mind I tag along Quite, what about the woodenb builds ...?
  13. Thank you, Jim, and welcome to a slow moving build, this is the second one of these tribal class destroyers I am building, so painting should go a little better . Still need to do some weathering, but not as severely as the G-class I did before ... bit of an overkill that one. I have got another hull waiting (Eskimo according to Trumper), but haven't decided yet which class I'll make from her. Cheers
  14. tell me about it ... tripple AA's at 1/350 are a bit the same fun ... besides the cranial torture ... they look real spiffy though. love the black circle at the bottom of the gun mount, and the gun itself ... makes for some rather nice contrast ...
  15. still some touch ups on the hull ... damage contol after drillin' the holes for the stanchions ...
