I do see that it did organized a workshop in Malaysia under the workshop tab, but just can't online store selling in Malaysia.. I think I'll need to ask in my local forum! Anyway, thanks Harry! That really helps

Hi Richard, It's a good start, and I must say your planking is real neat! On my case for the deck planking, I ran pencil down on the edges of the planks first before I glue them on It turned out well

Thanks! Mike, Yea, that'd be great building parallel I think my ship is 2 weeks or so from arrival, can't wait to unbox it! I might also need some lathes for my yards tapering and other fittings.. surveying now or you guys have any suggestion?
-
Hey Mike, Thanks! And actually, I just did :D :D I won it by around £50 cheaper, and that's a lot in Ringgit Malaysia (currency) It's gonna be a busy year~~~~

Thanks for all the kind words.. Harry, Thanks! Yes, she's my precious.. I'd also love to see that, but the fort is around 30 minutes away from my house. I might need a friend to drive, while I hold my ship whole way long with very care The fort is facing east, a sunrise shot would be great!

Thanks Mark. Yea, certainly.. and I'm now actually bidding one, HMS Unicorn An 'upgraded' Horse.. haha Bidding will be closing tonight.. finger crossed

Hi Nick, I was using "Blacken-It" to blacken my bombards and the other metal parts.. Krick is also a good selection, I saw many members using it too Blackener really gives a better view compare to paint.. but u'll have to work it out right.. for me, I made a mixture of 50% solution to 50% water. I've those Amati cannons too, but Blacken-It takes no effect on them.. don't think they are made of metal

Thanks Anja I also hoping to see her in Gallery... but I'll need to complete the display case first.. planning to make a slipway as cardle

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
