  1. The map and letter are really extra, special touches. Nice work, Bill !!
  2. If you go to the Kit Build Logs in Progress forum (from main page), then enter the name of your ship in the SEARCH field (top right), that will answer your question. I found five logs for that ship.
  3. I can only echo what the others are saying, Jay. Your stove looks excellent. Just be sure you don't burn your fingers working on the rest of it. (I'm still working on those tiny turkeys)
  4. That's a really distinctive cannon base, Nigel. There's certainly no way anyone is going to confuse it with a European-built one now.
  5. Your work really is something for the rest of us mere mortals to aim for !!
  6. You have been busy, Boyd !! Keep it up. I'm really liking your work on the internals ... and may even have to pinch a couple of your ideas.
  7. That's a really nice set of boats, Harvey. They compliment your build brilliantly.
  8. Beautiful work on your pump, Matt !! I think Tiny is in his element ... especially doing the detailing on the smaller parts. I reckon he'll come good.
  9. Fantastic work, Jay (as always) !! Those rivets look great. I might have to put in an order to use them for the bulwark rivet detail.
  10. Fantastic work on the new all-metal hatchway, Matt !! But I think you are gunna need a lot of luck to get all members of both clans to agree on anything ...
  11. Cabbie, I have "Rigging Period Ship Models", and thoroughly recommend it. As someone whose nautical knowledge barely extends past the bath-tub, I have found it invaluable in helping me picture (and tie) the rigging for my models. Almost all of this book is black & white drawings of the various sections of rigging, with scattered diagrams showing how some parts are tied. Here's a couple of random pages from the book ...
  12. Simply beautiful, Jay !!! She is a testament to all your hard work. Your logs are a treasure trove of tips and helpful hints. Keep it up.
  13. Sorry to hear of your loss, Nenad. I'm certain all of our thoughts are with you.
