  1. Per what Rob says... I've found that if you're using Windows, just bring the image downloaded from the camera into Paint. I usually resize them for MSW as my camera shots are too big. When saved, all the EXIF data has been overwritten.
  2. Welcome to MSW. I hope you can find a model to your likening.
  3. Jack, I'm putting this here in your build, as well as Treesqueak's for benefit of anyone else building this model. I know we've talked about but I really hate to a couple hundred dollars worth of kit get tossed.... I do suggest that you read well ahead in the instructions. The reason is that after they tell you to glue the main deck down, they then tell you assemble and install the guns which is impossible. We've had way too many abandoned builds happen when they realize that they can't install the guns.
  4. Looking pretty good at this point. I do suggest that you read well ahead in the instructions. The reason is that after they tell you to glue the main deck down, they then tell you assemble and install the guns which is impossible. We've had way too many abandoned builds happen when they realize that they can't install the guns.
  5. Please, DAS79PL, this is an English website so please use English. There are several translation websites if you need help.
  6. I'm thinking it's time to hold off the popcorn until we see an update. LOL.....
  7. My bad for discussing this on your other log. I promise to try and play nice. I have popcorn! Does that forgive my sins? As for putting it in water, Jerry Todd has a scratch built one in the "extremely dark side" area.
  8. Welcome to MSW, Nicolas. The best advice I can offer is to start a build log along with exploring the various sections of MSW where's there are pinned posts on such topics as "planking".
  9. Julie, I suggest you start a new topic and include some photos. Here's alink on how to upload:
  10. Yep... the whole mess started because the navy couldn't build any new ships, only repair old ones. So they drug the frigate in and knocked it apart. Burned all but 4 timbers as I recall, and built the sloop of war. Congress was happy, the Navy was happy. And then when she moved to Baltimore for rework and to be a museum ship, there was a lot of not so nice things done as far as turning her into a frigate and claiming she was the original frigate. About 5-10 folks should have had some serious jail time for that bit. During the rebuild when they went from fake frigate to actual sloop, they replanked her some composite/impregnated boards. Supposedly will last a long time but I've not heard much of late.
  11. I hope you've had a great one, Gary. Love the workmanship.
  12. Very well done, Steve. And I'm with everyone else... that gold leaf is an impressive touch to some wonderful carvings.
  13. It never was the 1797 version in Baltimore. The plans were burned when the Brits burned the yards. The 1854 was new build with different lines.... As for the other Constellations... I think those are steel navy aren't they?
  14. Lou, I'll do what I can to keep Jack in line... I went through the headaches of that model and ended up bashing it.
  15. I've seen a photo or two with that "container" on the side of the turret but I can't remember where. It might have been on the early builds of it for water or fuel. I doubt ammo would be stored there.
  16. The attention to detail is incredible, Johann. Your logs are an instruction manual.
  17. If you're just needing something and don't mind moving it around, go to the local home improvement shop and get a shop vac. Noisy but they work.
  18. Are you asking only for bench sanders? If small ones, Jim Rogers recommended a good one. Also, I can recommend this small belt sander https://www.micromark.com/Cordless-Proxxon-Belt-Sander-with-Battery-and-Charger .
