  1. Go with Gimp or Inkscape, they are both free and will serve the purpose.
  2. Moxis, If you have had a correct licens from the beginning and have the key saved, you should be able to re-start your Corel Draw. Inkscape is tricky to work with, well at least for me.
  3. That's the best part of having a shed on post or skids, so you can move it. Then it's not a permanent structure. Part of International Building Codes.
  4. I remembered that one of my father smaller yachts had white caulking, (teak deck), so I did a quick search. It is still available to purchase. I would use thin crisp white paper to simulate the caulking.
  5. Found it directly, about five minutes later as I had other things going on at the same time..... there were quite an extensive collection of how-to's.
  6. Bob, I will try the same with our remote.... as we have Xfinity as well. Thanks for providing the idea. Otherwise using the link provided will help. I did jewelry (silver) soldering back in the 90's, most to give away or sold for a fraction. Had a lot of fun with it. Time to pick this one up as I need to hone my soldering skills. A couple of ear-ring sets I made had the shape of the musical G-clave. Gave them to women in the choir I sang with at the time, highly appreciated x-mas gift.
  7. Malas, You should have the scale answer on the drawings (plans). My guess it may be a Model Shipways kit, part list says scale 3/16" = 1ft
  8. Don't know if you have seen this picture...… however here is a sloop designed by Af Chapman
  9. And why shouldn't we tolerate "plastic people", many of us have the plastic background..... and maybe even building a plastic kit in another hideout in their house; far far away in a corner..... lol
  10. Jagdmirage, first of all a warm welcome to MSW. Looks like you are off to a good start. Are you going to try to build it without any glue …. like they did back in the Roman time era?
  11. And another warm welcome from Pacific Northwest.
  12. If this is just the second hull your planking, then you're doing a grand job.
  13. Rich, You must feel good now with the completion of USS Argus. Beautiful build a true masterpiece. Now it's time for a break, unless you have something else waiting to be built.
  14. Craig, What a fantastic job you are doing, that detailing is stunning. I am intrigued by Trumpeters kit, and wonder how they stand out in comparison to other manufacturers. What's your input in that matter?
  15. Pathfinder, Welcome back to a somewhat regular world. Great to hear about your recovery! I am myself a skin cancer recovery patient..... even though a very light one. USS Kearsarge is great build to put into the build logs. Looking forward to see your progress.
  16. Magnificent! Thank you for making my sunny day even more beautiful.
  17. From Lewis County a Warm Welcome!
  18. Mike, that's an impressive quarter scale model. Can just imagine the pouring sound from the engine.
  19. Doug, I am happy to be the first greeting you a Warm Welcome to MSW. This from Pacific North West. As for your questions, I am not in any position to help you. Cheers Per
  20. Beautiful final model you made Danny. Take care of yourself..... I do like all the modelling you have shared with us.
  21. Clean and nice look! How many more hours are you guessing in order to finish her?
  22. I also have a Byrnes thickness sander along with an Proxxon Table saw. Yes for me, the thickness sander is a truly valuable tool. Waiting for the day when to invest in a Byrnes table saw.
  23. Aah, you just made my day! Thank you for this wonderful build.
