I thought I would drop in and have a look :) Your San Ildefonso is looking fabulous B) Excellent work.I have to ask the question though :D With completion not that far down the road, are you now a convert to two builds at once?In other words will you start another before Aggies completion?

Thanks Denis and Nigel,

@ Denis,

Every day is my birthday  :D  :D  :D  :D

Every day I get one day older.....so I can give me myself a present when I want to  :D  :D  :D  :D

But the titel Master builder ???????

At the moment I'm more an apprentice !

When I look at your build or that from others....I have still a lot to learn !

For example....being patient !

I want to rush things and then the moderator in the house is giving me comment and I have to re-do things !

Never lives together with a moderator !!!!!!!

I have to because I love her !!!!

@ Nigel,

Thanks for the good words !

Finishing can still take a while but slowly I get there.

And then for your question.....

I don't know yet what I'm gonna do when the Fonz is finished.

First finishing the Aggy and then to another build or doing again 2 builds at the same time.

I know all ready what my next build is gonna be.

But I keep that in the fridge for a while  :D  :D

After our vacation I have done something....

It's totally different as planking  :D  :D  :D

No sawdust but rope dust....... :P

I have ( try ) to make the,

Main royal stay

Main topgallant stay

Main topmast stay

Main topmast preventer stay

Then I have try to make a connexion between the eyebolt and the stay ....but again, the rope going on his own way....turning around again !

It takes some time before all the stay's are on the eyebolts.

But it keep you from the street.

No, real life is getting in the way at the moment, I keep looing at pegasus and wishing I could find some more time to work on her, she sits there looking at me rather forlornly!

Hopefully will find some time soon.

Sjors just caught up with your log, lovely work,

Posted

Thanks Kevin,

I have just done a few running rigging.

I had some problems with the rope that goes down at the main mast.

The blocks where again in a twisting mood  :(

Tomorrow I will begin at the stays.

No pictures because my external disc has left me....broke.

I need to buy another one before I can save the pictures.

So everyone, be patient......

But when i have an update, I can show you something !

Also an update for the Fonz  :D  :D

When the planks are drying on the Aggy, I have make the main royal stay's......

The only difficulty I find out are the blocks that are at the bottom of the Main-  and Mizzen mast.

The rope was again twisting all the time.

But I think it will be ole.

I don't know if it is the right way to tie the rope what I have done but there is almost no working space.

For the next time I think I will make that first BEFORE i go to the shrouds and ratlines.

Then I have space enough......
