Looking good! On my first model, my Admiral sewed reefing ties and they didn't hang naturally, so I used a paintbrush and water to "Paint" them to lay against the sail and then used my Admiral's hairspray to hold them.

Thanks Mario and Rich,

@ Mario,

She has the same length as the Agamemnon.....

I need a bigger house !   :D  :D  :D

@ Rich,

I make the reef lines myself.

I put them true the beeswax.

My Admiral don't use hair spray  ( nether do I  :D  :D )

But a few more to do before that's finished.......( about 11 )

The sails and the yards on the main mast are also in place...

Still the fore mast to go and the bowsprit yards.

And then all the rigging that goes with it.

It keeps me still busy for the time being.......

Thank you all very much   :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

And also for the likes :D  :D

Where I find the time.....that's a good one !

I have the late shift this week and when Anja is going to work, I have the whole house for myself.

I can sit in the living room and watch outside to see how the rain falls.....

Or I can sit upstairs, watch out the windows to see how the rain falls and do little things at the ships model......

I like the last option  :D  :D  :D  :D

@ Rick,

How are you buddy !!!!!

Did you do some building lately ????????

Anja is saying hello to you  :D  :D  :D  :D

Admiral Sjors.........love it :D

Yes, I have returned to building those confounded ships again.......oh wait, thats the theme of this here Forum.

Anyway, sold our house, down sized to a apartment until we retire to the coast of NC.......7 more years it looks like.

So space is @ a premium, and boy have you built a monster, but it sure is pretty, but not as much as Anja.......... ^_^  hello Anja.

Anyway, I do have a little build log going right now........a Shipyard Santa Maria, a 1/72 scale all laser cut card kit.  So look me up and if you have any advice to give your poor lowly seaman, by all means do so my friend.

Beautiful work, my friend. Your sails look so natural. I'm still undecided about how I'm going to deploy sails on my RL, and seeing yours I may decide to put them fully set.

There aren't but two options: do it FAST, or do it RIGHT.

Current Project Build Log: Soleil Royal in 1/72. Kit by Artesania Latina.

Last finished projectsRoyal Ship Vasa 1628; French Vessel Royal Louis 1780. 1/90 Scale by Mamoli. 120 Cannons

Future projects already in my stash: Panart: San Felipe 1/75; OcCre: Santísima Trinidad 1/90;

Wish List: 1/64 Amati Victory, HMS Enterprise in 1/48 by CAF models.

So much to build, so little time!

Sjors: Yes, I want to. Kit comes with no sails, (my avatar is the photo in the box) thus no sail rigging or instructions. I think I asked somewhere earlier about some books on French ships of the line rigging. I have several about English tho, but I am not sure what problems or issues I'd encounter if I put English rigging on a French ship!!!   :o

@ Ulises,

You can think like this....

The French ship is captured by the English and the are change the rigging of the ship  :D  :D  :D  :D

How about that !

@ Vivian,

One flying Dutchman is enough......

Otherwise it's gonna be a flying Spanish thing......
