Yes the dream Trinity for me is the Bucc,  Vixen & Phantom.

Unfortunately, they don't do a Vixen in 1/32 unless you like vacuform kits... But Revell/Matchbox did a Sea Venom in 1/32nd scale which is essentially the same airframe... Don't know if there is a conversion set though...

They would be purty all on the same deck...

Current Build: F-86F-30 Sabre by Egilman - Kinetic - 1/32nd scale

In the Garage: East Bound & Down, Building a Smokey & the Bandit Kenworth Rig in 1/25th scale

Completed: M8A1 HST  1930 Packard Boattail Speedster  M1A1 75mm Pack Howitzer  F-4J Phantom II Bell H-13's P-51B/C

Temporary Suspension: USS Gwin DD-433  F-104C Starfighter "Blue Jay Four" 1/32nd Scale

1/32 a bit big for my remaining shelf space, but Airfix do a 1/48 Vixen to go with this Bucc, then there is just the Phantom left, the Hasegawa one is not often available and not sure what the Revell one like?

Here's a way to get a RN Phantom done without searching everywhere for the old Hasegawa kit:

It does look good, so ugly it looks cool, a lovely AEW example resides at Elevington. It is monster, the number of steps to climb up to the cockpit, think I’d get vertigo! 🫣

Weird how that is about ugly aircraft. Sometimes ugly makes them all the more attractive for some odd reason. Unique for sure as I can't think of anything else that looks like a Gannet, and the sheer size of it.

Maybe the Wyvern is kinda-sorta like it. It's another ugly aircraft that's beautiful at the same time.

Did the Buccaneer typically fly with fighter escort? No defensive weapons on my Buc version.

The Buck  (Brick)   could  have been  employed  for  low down  bombing  duties, and I guess  the F4   could have  added cover  for them.

Interesting, I see it's got the buddy to buddy refueling pod on.

Samuel Pepys notes in his diary on 19 July 1667: "the Dutch fleets being in so many places, that Sir W. Batten at table cried, By God,says he, I think the Devil shits Dutchmen."

A missile color conundrum: The Airfix color call-outs for the missiles show a ghost gray for the Martel anti-radar missile while the TV Martel anti-ship missile does not get a color call-out but instead is shaded the same color as the aircraft, dark sea gray. If I look up the Martel missiles on the net and view images of them, I see them in a shade of green, maybe it could be called gray green. See here:

MARTEL.JPG

or alternatively both missile types can be seen as a ghost gray but no photos I have seen shown them as dark sea gray as seen in the Airfix chart. Any ideas? I am ready to get this thing finished and don't want to get wrapped around the axle here for this rather minor detail.

Most of them were green like in the pic.... They came from the manufacturer that way and were stored in their shipping crates that way... And obviously the one in the pic has been that way for a long time given the handling damage it has sustained....

I would go with my eyes on this one only because it's source info and model company paint callouts are always known for their accuracy, aren't they? {chuckle}

forest green my friend...

Update: more research shows that they were painted either white or grey matching the undersides of the aircraft when they first came out, after they went to the wraparound euro schemes they then went green.... (long about '72 or so)...

So it will depend on the period your depicting... as far as the blue aircraft I haven't found any info yet.... (probably grey)
