Thank you all  :D  :D

@ Augie,

There are no laser cut parts at this stage.

It's plywood of 5 mm thick so they use a saw I think.

Later on in the build I will have lasercuts.

@ Glenn,

Glad to have you on board.

@Pierre and Graig,

Thank you both !

And she is huge......

But that's what i like.

@ Sam,

I have a small HD video camera and it fits perfectly on the lower gun deck.....

And it is not only video but he also makes great pictures....sometime to great because you see everything !

Ratlines can take a while  :)

But they are coming some time.

Hi Sam,

I have a camcorder from Panasonic the HDC-SD60.

It's not only HD video but also pictures.

The zoom range is for the video from 35 till 1500 and of course also for the pictures......

And macro of course !

I have also the Olympus E 300 but I don't use that anymore.

I have everything I need in that camcorder.

Hi Sjors,

She should be the achievement of your period of mastery...

Those days of being apprentice (many many years ago) and then of being headworker (many years ago) have been far, too far away... :)

Hello Sjors, I've been going to find your build here and kept forgetting about it before I got here....getting old....so ok, off to a nice start.  At least you'll always rmember when you started....I'll get out the popcorn and beer and grab a chair.   Hard to believe those flat pices of plywood turn into a fine scale model....

Hi Jan en John,

You're both welcome on board !

@ Jan,

I'll take all the time I need with this one.

Don't forget, I have also the SI to do....

My intention is one month on the Aggy and then one month at the SI.

We will see if that's working  :D

@ John,

You are so old as how you are feeling.... :P

And you're right....all those pieces of wood has to become a BIG model...

Hi Sjors

As you know I have not had a minute to spare this last month or so

That is why I only just noticed this

I hardly ever turn the big computer on so I don't surf properly

Anyway I am here now

Here I am, out in the hall

I brought my own chair and will try and keep up but I am not promising

I hardly get any time to do my models without keeping track of everyone else's

I will do my best though

Keep up the good work

Hey Sjors, nice work. What's your reference for being able to tell what will be visible and what to plank on the lower deck?

@ Mick,

Welcome in the building theatre.,

I have ask some builders to make place for you and Theo.

He also just entering :D

Take your time Mick, it's gonna be a long journey !

@ Bug,

I have place a lamp above the middle gun deck and see what you can see under it ( make sense... )

Because Caldercraft give you so much wood ( you can build almost another Aggy ) you can plank what ever you want.

I did a long piece and around it ,it will be black painted.

So you don't see any white wood anymore when you take a look inside.

I just finished the planking and give it one layer of mat varnish.

Tomorrow I post pictures  :D  :D

@ Theo,

Welcome !

Mick is making place for you.....

Yes, i started on the first of January and I'm not that far.

I have to spend more time at my work  :(

But when I'm at home, I try to work on her .

A frame here, plank there....you know how it works .

Update time  :D

I made a frame on the lower gun deck and fill that with planking......

You will not see all of it when the middle deck is placed but you will see something.

I also placed a king plank in the middle of 5 mm wide.

The deck planking is 4 mm.

The length is 125 mm so it fits nice on the edges.

I have one question.

I used the 5 shift of buts.

I have started on the left side of the king plank.

On the other side I did the same.

The right side is a mirror image of the left side.

But is that the correct way of doing it?

I hope you understand what I mean.

Now it's time for pictures.

Hi Mate,

I still think you should mirror either side of the King Plank, just as we spoke about last night, and just try a few treenails right up forward where they wont be seen, just a trial.

What you have done looks very good and you should be pleased.

Very impressive.  I don't know how much will be seen from above but it looks great.  Even if it's almost invisible it will make you feel good to know it's done right.
