When I first built Dreadnought  I did not own an airbrush and used rattle cans and paintbrushes. I was really happy with the build at the time and it’s time to redo her in a different way. hopefully better.

Did you meet Leigh from Ballarat's modelling club? He went along. Didn't come along to our next meeting - some story about feeling tired and emotional after the modelling exhibition.

Am I right in thinking you gave a talk on ship modelling to the assembled multitudes?

(I've been trying to get some of the Ballarat modellers over to the Dark Side. So far not a sausage).

It’s won’t be a difficult build but a great weathering challenge

Yep, the scale difference is going to change the weathering a bit.... But you know that already... {chuckle}

Congrats on the wins, (I thought your artillery train would win one as well) At least they saw the fineness of it....

I'm in for this one brother.... Dreadnaughts aren't my real cup of tea, (more along WWII era) but then the Arizona is a superdreadnought and is one of my favorite ships....

Maybe I'll learn something....

So I finally found (from EBay of course) a set of ringols from Alliance Modelworks (I think they’ve shut these days). Each PE set has portholes as a ring but that’s not how they were. You can hardly see them from a distance but has to be done.

Beautiful work (as usual), Greg. I love your 20th century warships; even though it's not something I'd want to do I can recognise quality work when I see it and be impressed by it.
