Hi John,

I thought that you where joking about the Ferrari…...

But he is real!

I have once drive in such car and I must say…..it's not for me.

Not because it is not a beautiful car but I'm to tall for it.

I was lying down…...

For my work I have drive in a Mercedes 300 S

Amazing car and also fast!

Hi Sjors, sorry about the joke, but yes, it's real. The car is built for a person 5'8" and 180 lbs. That's exactly my size so I fit well. The Targa top comes off, which gives a little more headroom, but the leg room is the same. You would not be comfortable in it. I just sold my Mercedes E-350 Sport. It too is fast and comfy at the same time. Funny thing, I actually took the 348 out for a spin this morning for a little bit.

Nice car Tex.  I'll use Sjors' excuse (I'm taller than he is).  Besides, I gave up fast cars and sexy women long ago (or was it fast women and sexy cars?).

Robbyn-  If you're going to wait for Chuck's Winchelsea, you best start scratch building.  She'll be a beauty but he mentioned a while back there are no plans to kit it.

Thanks Augie, if you're tall the Ferrari is not the way to go.  I'm glad I'm the size I am which allows me to really enjoy it.  I guess 5'8" is the average size for a "tall" Italian.... sorry to have hijacked your log here....you can blame Sjors....he started it.....lol.......Anja likes it so maybe if she ever gets to Texas I'll give her a ride in her....

got a little more done on the Morgan today, so maybe tomorrow I'll post a few pictures....

John,

No excuses please.

When somebody is talking that he has a Ferrari, I'm just smiling and think….yeah yeah…..

But you've really get one!

We only can pay a Ford Fiesta…..(If you know that type of car )

Enjoy your bolide and I enjoy watching the picture.

Augie, your log is yours again…...

Augie.... I think "you know who" and "others"  are purposely diverting you from finishing your build .He mainly, doesn't want you to finish. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, he's getting his SI battle ready. You can read between the lines in some of his remarks that he's thinking about doing something crazy ( you know what). Just beware my friend, there's an old saying. "keep your friends close to you, but your enemies closer ", (well it goes something like that ) anyhow, be prepared  !!! :D

It's great to have friends like Frank, someone to count on in case one of the (short) fuses around here gets 'accidentally' lit.

But fear not, my friend.  Nothing deters me from the task at hand.  The topsail yard rigging has been completed and the rigging spiders are strapping on their oxygen prior to ascension to the topgallants.  A photo update shall appear as soon as the t'gallants are lashed aloft!
