I'm pleased to know the CT showed no complications, Sjors, take it easy, my friend, medicines account only half of the cure, rest and lots of fluids/juices account for the other half, and most importantly, sorry to say this, but no sawdust or exposure to paint/glue fumes for at least a month

Thanks for the good word, Augie, I appreciate it I've been carefully reviewing how you, Syren- and Confederacy-builders frame your gunports as this seems to be the approach that I need to take with Triton, it's something completely new to me as I've been spoiled by my previous kits' pre-cut gunports

Fantastic work on both ship and case, Augie, a hearty congratulations coupled with spirited drinks are in order Looking forward to your work on Confederacy, with the excellent work you've done to Syren, I have no doubt that you will make an equally excellent job of this excellent frigate

Beautiful work on the cutter, Peter, she's looking great, I really admire the amount of details that you and the other Pegasus/Fly builders are putting into your boats I am ashamed to confess that due to my lazy nature, I would probably use the Contemporary Swan Class Model in the link below as my excuse for not adding any boat to my ship: http://s3.amazonaws.com/magnoliasoft.imageweb/nmm/supersize/d4085-3.jpg Thanks, Peter, I'll return to my Pegasus once I finish planking Triton

Very nice planking work, Mark, and I see that you have tamed that dreaded ebony into submission, excellent technique, Sir

Lovely work on the guns and their rigging, Danny, I love the "weathering effect" you gave to tone down the color of the breech ropes

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
