  1. Thanks for the likes and comments It seems we have another Dutchman on our hands!
  2. It is a joy to follow your builds, Steve, and at times send you in the wrong direction to test your sharpness (just pulling your leg). I'll have to go back to the picture, yet again. Soon it will be engraved in my "brain". Do you know yet , how many of those lovely sisters you have to make including jumpsuits?
  3. Well seamster(?) I found something else unfortunately ... I don't want to be the bearer of bad tidings, Steve. However, you have got far to many pipes running from fore to aft. Support pipes seem to be alright, as are the transversal ones. As far as I can distinguish only four pipes are running from front to back, both at the outsides, and at the sides of the centre structure. There is an additional horizontal transversal pipe just below the top for strength I presume at the fore. By the way, it still does look good the way it is now, nobody will know if I delete my post
  4. Pfff, nearly missed this one, you are going fast, Patrick.I do need to buy some sneakers to keep up with you! Great start!
  5. Got some weathering products from AK, enamels, but the do work on acrylic to Salt streaks and slimy green ... it looks far stronger on the image than in reality. I need to add a bit more of the dark algea. First impressions ...
  6. Worked on the hull from the H class Tribal destroyer mainly Removed the plastic on the centre "super" structure, there are air inlets too. Attacked those from the inside. Also a bit of brass work to get my eyes "in the mood" the foremast, lower part
  7. Nice work on the ailerons mate. Thought there would be something brewing by now. Engine turned out real spiffy, that's a big one 12.7 cm.
  8. Tape them shufflers to their spot. Use e.g. masking tape. As Kevin so eloquently put it: Fantastisch (the Dutch version)
  9. I thought: "Cool we get light on the section build" Poor chance now you have cut off the leads ... what a pitty.
  10. She wouldn't have come far in this here state ... not much of a transport from the UK to anywhere as yet. Though, very crisp looking frames
  11. Not much to show, but for the replaced louvres at the rear of the forward superstructure. Hope to get some building time this weekend
  12. Oh dear, I didn't know you had that downundah, get better soon, we'll wait ... at least try to, so hurry up Take care
  13. Jörgen, Thank you for elaborating on the paint subject. I am still experimenting. I found Lifecolor a real pain for the airbrush, but I found it fabulous to paint with a brush. I like the Vallejo for hand painting, and am still using it as airbrush paint besides Tamiya. I have tried Humbrol which sprays quite nice, but found I wasn't comfortable leaving my airbrush in the stand for more than half a minute (it's between the ears I presume) I would like to give MRP a try, but will have to empty a few bottles first before I start buying paints (again) I liked the result of the Vallejo metal paints, although some of them were not that "metal" chrome., aluminum, and silver do look a lot like eachother. Which brings me to the AK Extreme metal paints. Those seem to be more realistic than any I've seen, so I'll be watching your paint sessions with great interest. I recently got myself some AK enamels for weathering ship's hulls. The initial result looks not to shabby. The MIG oil brushes work quite nice too and give quite good contol At what age do you teach your daughter the fine art of airbrushing? I presume it is not the todler on your arm in your avatar!
  14. I like to give compliments where due, Jan. I just hope they aren't overly salty
  15. Nice work environment, I am quite taken by it. Any preference for a specific paint brand, I see several different ones.

  17. Great work on the pom pom, that is some serious hard work, I build a four barreled one at 1/350 to use on a destroyer, but it was to big (can you imagine?) I still find they don't look as nice as the other guns ...
  18. You found the missing piece from Vendetta!? She's growing steadily ... the bling does her well, she does need it at this scale, plastic is far to course ... but then ... coarse suits you, just as much as fine does. Details are getting better an' better ... You really are "a man of all trades"
  19. I would like to try my hand on one of those. Real good looking guns
  20. Well, my friend, get your needles and thread out, you've got work to do. I could do it on the machine for you, but I'm afraid you will have to wait far to long before I could get it done, and delivered to your doorstep
  21. Steve, Sorry to disapoint you, but the centre cabin or shed isn't covered on the photograph. If you look well, you even see something like a stack of lifeboats/carley floats or a gun tub on the block. Back to the drawing table, and you can put your seamstress at work so it seems ...
